Margie and I went for a ride on Christmas day. We left Hot Springs and went west on Hwy 270 to Mt. Ida. Turned south in Mt Ida and took 27 & 8 back over to Glenwood, then Hwy 70 back to the house. I've driven this route several times it takes about an hour and has some fun roads. Does anybody else have any favorite drives? I also like Hot Springs Mtn. Dr. (where the tower is) and of course Hwy 7 north from Hot Springs. Might be fun to try out a few in the new year. Happy New Year to everybody and if ya go out New Year's eve, BE CAREFUL!

 

We scouted one out for the January drive. It goes Kanis to Paron to Hwy 298 to Steel Bridge Road to Congo-Ferndale Rd. to Kanis to Burlingame to Ferncrest Rd to Col. Glenn to Cooper Orbit to Chenal and to Java for coffee. It is very, very curvy. It still makes me a little sea sick thinking about it, but I'll have a different lunch the day the club does it than what I had today.

 

Sounds like a GREAT ride, can't wait. I will have to get new tires b4 the meet. Mine are getting pretty worn and I don't want to have to hold back on the curves, ha.

 

Sounds fun! Mark and I will probably be headed to Hot Springs to visit his mom on Thursday and Friday. I may see if we can find some time to go motor on that route. He's familiar with it.

Hubby and I took a nice romp in Minerva New Year's day. We took (Starting in Malvern) Grigsby Ford Rd to Hwy 84 into Bismark, over to Hot Springs, down Central, up the mountain (the one with the tower) and down, then back to Malvern through Magnet Cove, and on to my Mom's for the New Year's good luck peas and money cabbage. And roast with gravy, and homemade biscuits... Yum!!

 

Just the drive to work is good enough for me !
