Nicodemus and Deimos Pictures

We decided to get a few pictures before Mark installed the mud flaps onto Deimos. I think they make a nice pair. The colors just seem to complement each other. We'll install the stripes probably tomorrow if the weather cooperates. We would do it today, but it's just too tempting to take them both on a run to Mt. Magazine! More pictures to follow this evening

Oh yeah, before I forget, Happy New Year!! Many months of motoring ahead of you!!

I look forward to seeing it. Mark already ordered a set of spaced pin black bonnet stripes from AC, but I'm trying to talk him into foregoing them and whiting out the chrome on his car. I think it'd contrast nicely with the dark red. I'm planning to black out as much as I can on Nic.

Not surprisingly, even though our cars are both NFR, there are differences just on the exterior. You have red and i have black (soon chrome) mirror caps, you have red and a I have black roof and sunroof, your wheels are different. What options did you get?

really? You don't like the chrome? I do.. even considering chrome instead of black stripes, but thinking that may be TOO much chrome. I have seen some black ones with chrome pin stripe.

How do you white out or black out the chrome?

It's not that I don't like the chrome, I just know how well black contrasts with my SS after seeing the phat stripes on him. Mark likes the chrome, I just like the contrast between that NFR and stark white...though it'd be a bugger to keep clean.

As for coloring the chrome pieces, the most recommended place I've found so far is http://www.lylesvinylstyles.net/mini. You pay him a fee for the vinyl job and a core charge to cover the part. He sends you the part, you pop the piece off your car, replace it with the vinyl covered one, and send the piece you removed back to him to have the core charge refunded. Easy enough, just have to figure out how to remove and replace the chrome parts of my car without damaging them! I want to do my head light rings, grill and grill border, door handles, tail light rings, and boot handle. I may forego the door handle if it turns out to be too difficult. I'm also thinking of applying a black vinyl cover to the belt line (chrome border around the top of the paneling - above the doors but below the window) from outmotoring.com.
