Hey all Mini owners. We are planning a drive to the Ozarks on Saturday, August 25th(it says 18th on the website but the date has changed to the 25th). Meet at Kroger on Chenal Parkway in west Little Rock at 8:30am and leave by 9:00. The route will head north around Lake Maumelle first, then through Morrilton , Clinton and to Mtn. View, AR for lunch . After lunch, we will make a loop north of Mtn. View for some fun curvy driving. This will be a day long drive, but if you can't make it for the whole day, at least come as far as Mtn. View for lunch.

Don't forget to have cash for lunch, most places in Mtn. View don't accept credit cards.

For all of you that haven't been on one of our runs, they are a blast! Very fun bunch and wonderful roads. Come join us!!!!

 

If Conway people want to meet along the way we should be coming through the intersection of Hwys. 113 and 60 between Houston and Bigelow around 9:30. Or meet up with us at the Shell station at the first Morrilton exit around 10:00ish. We will be stopping there for a potty break. Let us know if anybody plans on doing that so we will know to look for you.

 

Count me in, as a Conway person. I will meet ya in Morrilton!

Wow! What a run!! Those where great road choices. aprilrain51, you guys did a great job on routing this AMOK Adventure. Hwy 341 and Hwy 9 to Melbourne are the two most famous roads for the Mtn. View area. I hadn't been on the 'road to Melbourne' before. There wasn't as much gravel on 341 so it was much nicer this time than last time, except for the cruiser we got behind. The cruiser did give me Deals Gap flashbacks though. But considering they were having a HD event that day with a few thousand bikes, we really weren't hindered very much by them. Plus, being the last in line I can still have my own fun; slack off then catch up!

rgp2, I'll also email you that picture this week. Unless you would prefer a CD of it, in which case I can drop it off at your MINI one afternoon (maybe leave the window cracked?). Email me.

Anyone else who took pictures please post and/or email them to me (just know I'm on dial up). Or make a CD and I'll meet you somewhere. I can be in Conway anytime and sports has started so I'm in LR almost every day.

Were the group photos shown here taken at the White River? Just drove Hwy 9 from Clinton to Mtn View for a work trip last week - quite a road!

P.S. Did anyone get any good shots from the July run to the Cardboard Boat Races?

 

the first one was takin' on hwy 300 near Little Rock; the other two were at Norfork Lake at the rest stop and boat ramp at the dam.
