The Sixth Annual "Brits in the Ozarks"
The Sixth Annual "Brits in the Ozarks"
FYI, the Sixth Annual "Brits in the Ozarks" - All-British Car & Cycle Show - is taking place in Fayetteville in a couple of weeks, September 14-15, 2007.
Last time I talked with the organizers (a couple of years ago), they were friendly and very enthusiastic to see some (new) MINIs in the show or just in attendance. They usually do some sort of drive in addition to the other events. Here's the link for info:

The 2007 show schedule will closely mirror the 2006 event, with Friday activities to include a Friday morning self guided tour. The show will be held from 10:00 AM until 3:00 PM on Saturday, September 15th, with judging in the latter portion of this time period. A Twisted Fun Run will be held afterward, with the course and duration still to be determined. There are lots of scenic drives in the region, and this should be a really nice tour, so please try to participate if possible. There will then be an awards dinner at the pavilion in Agri Park.
Lunch will also be available at the show site from about 11:30 until 1:00, with the proceeds to benefit ALS.
Friday night, September 14th, we expect to have a parking lot party at the Springdale Holiday Inn, with free food and drinks, and an indoor hospitality room. The festivities will last from early evening until we all get tired and leave. You can come by, meet other participants, and register or pick up your registration materials.

That really sounds pretty cool. If anyone is intersted in going, lets start a roll call on this thread. I am going to check schedules and I will come back and let all know if I am in. Oldbunratty are you planning to go?
yeah, if I go, I'll leave Saturday morning.. I know what you look like Mrs Mini so maybe I'll see you there.
I'd say we could drive together, but I'm not sure you could keep up.

Has anyone heard about the European car show that will be in Memphis on October 6th. It is for old and new cars, I believe. The Mid-South Miniacs are going to participate. It is put on by the British car club in Memphis but there will be Fiats. Alfas and other European cars as well as Minis, Sunbeams MGs, Triumphs and Jaguars, etc. Sounds interesting.
that sounds great, but I'd be almost embarassed to have my MINI amongst all those beauties. But, hey.. it is brand new, sporty, classy, and I can get to Memphis in about 1 hr 45 mins
