After talking to several people last year, we decided to only use our NAM Names at AMVIV.

If you use your regular name, no one will know who you are.

( in some cases this could be a good thing )

I have friends in Australia who I've known for 20 years who only know me as Agro.
I always go by my nickname outside of work. My wife usually calls me Agro.
My nephew knows me as Uncle Agro even if he can't say it right yet.

 

I'm not terribly worried about people not knowing who I am.

Eric "found" me last year. I'm sure others will too.

 

Posting your picture also helps.

Thats what I meant. Since you have one posted on a AMVIV thread, people that see it will be able to spot you.

 

Hmm not sure Jen would go for that, or if MCClone would go for that either. But i do plan on putting it on my car somewhere.

BTW i need to ask you about putting CMS or something to that effect on a shift ****.

"Found" really means secretly followed until I was away from my SO and therefore approachable.

 

I don't think I even remember my Real name! Only one person ever called me it and I've been ordered not to speak of that ever again.

6 years ago I was told I was not welcome in Vegas (no it's not what you think) so NAM name works for me, but they still know me on sight.

I'm pretty sure I am. I should know definitely by Tuesday of next week... I'm waiting to figure a few things out, but I'm 99.99% sure I am.

I'm getting excited too. I've been to Vegas before but never to a big MINI/Mini get together. Just local MINI club stuff.

Plus I'm looking forward to meeting some of the people I've gotten to know from here and the warmer weather.

 

MINI_Dreams...if you haven't booked a hotel room, do it NOW. I just sent out a mass email (don't know if you added yourself to the list) reminding everyone that the group rate ends today and they won't extend it. We're already at 1/3 of the hotel on our group rate.

 

Agro... I actually booked a few weeks ago when I started wondering out loud on NAM whether or not I should go. So I'm set. But thanks for checking!
