WTB: OEM Cooper S grille in Pure Silver

I'm looking to replace the all-chrome stock grille on my Pure Silver '06 MC with a stock Cooper S grille in that color. Anyone have a clean one lying around after an Aero or Ultimate Grille switcheroo that they'd be willing to part with? If so, PM me ... many thanks!

I've got a set at home, from an 03 switch I did. Let me clean it up and and take a few pics for you.

Aaah

Motonikki & golden child,

I'm pretty sure '03 MCS grilles will fit: it's the 02-03 MC grilles with the four slats that I'd have a problem with, and since I've got an '06, no worries.

Both of your sets include the bottom part on the top of the front bumper? Is it just the slat or the entire unit (slat and frame)?

Yup. Top and both bottoms (chrome and slat). You are going to need new double sided tape for the bottom slat.

Yep; tape.

Yep; figured I would. I'm ordering a MINI One OEM grille (black slats, chrome surround) from Classic MINI as well; I'm picking up 22 extra flange bolts for the bonnet grille and some extra tape for the bumper slats from them, too.

I'm not sure if I'll like black or body-color better, so I'm getting both.

Let me know when you've got pix!

This what I have. I have 2 sets.

One (bottom) is the original that came of my car after about 55K has a few minor flaws as you would expect after 55k of use. 3 nicks from road debris on the left (in second pic) 2 have been painted over with touch-up paint one is untouched and one on the right again covered w/ touch-up paint. The chrome is still in pretty good shape but also suffers from a little contact w/ road debris, it looks a though the chrome has spots in between the ribs in a few places. I would have taken a pic of it but you really can't see it inless you examine it very closely. This one I would still rate as good condition.

I would like 20+shipping on this one.

The other (top) is as close as you can get to perfect. No flaws other than a bit of dust from sitting around. It came from a bumper/skirt set I bought from someone who got the areo kit at delivery. I bought it for insurance against incase I got dinged up.

I really don't want to get rid of this one but since I've done the aero grills I guess I really have no use for it.

I would like to get 60+shipping on this one.

Darn it ...

golden child, et.al.,
I just realized, while I was at my local MINI dealer this morning, that '06 Cooper Ss don't have the ridged chrome grille frames like earlier ones such as your '03 does. I much prefer the smooth grille frames. Does anyone know when that change was made? '05, maybe?

So I'm afraid I'm going to pass on yours, golden child. I do greatly appreciate the pix, and I apologize for the inconvenience. If no one has recent, smooth-framed OEM MCS grilles in Pure Silver around, I'll probably order a new set through Classic MINI and have them painted by my local dealer.
