Buy the mods now, once the honeymoon is over, it will be a LOT harder to spend money on them!

The tires seem to be the same price as the limo, the band, the reception locale, the wedding locale, mens tuxes, ........

On the other hand, we are departing in the MINI.....

If you can make it to any part of MTTS legs, whether it be an arrival desk / departure desk location, all you have to do is ask for one of the packets. They are still giving them away.

They were giving away just the wristbands yesterday in Amarillo if people needed just those. One guy drove from Dallas to Amarillo, didn't have the packet with him, they gave it all to him at the event.

For what it is worth, it sounds like you are paying for your wedding on your own (or at least partially on your own). As a newly married MINI guy, I just want to offer some advice.

It is possible to have an absolutely lovely wedding without spending money that you could be using for a down payment on a nice house or to pay off your car.

Our wedding was absolutely lovely, but was not incredibly expensive. We found creative ways to get the most out of our $$$ and I wouldn't change a thing.

Here are a few ideas that worked great for us.

Instead of tuxedos, I bought a new suit and asked my best man and my wife's father to wear a similar suit. I bought each of them a matching tie. We looked great, didn't have to wear silly costumes, and I now have a nice suit for the next time I need to dress up.

Our wedding cake was made by the local Publix grocery store. It was beautiful and elegant and was the rich and tasty carrot cake we wanted.

Flowers used to decorate the wedding area were creatively designed so that they became the reception centerpieces.

and who needs a Limo when you've got a MINI Cooper?

In the end, all you need for a lovely wedding is to gather your friends and family together to share the day with you. If you can have a nice piece of cake at the end, even better!

Any possible way someone could pick me up a MTTS packet? I'm interested in obtaining the travel log or book and maps. If so, I am willing to pay for the hassel plus the cost of shipping to an APO AE address. Thanks.

We will give it our best MINI try

RudyT (Germany) and KevinBaker (Australia), we hope to make MTTS next weekend. If it's humanly (or MINI-ly) possible, we'll pick up the intro packets for you. We'll let you know either way.

My goal is that when I return back home (The States) then I could always do this trip on my own. Or even if MINIUSA doesn't plan another event like this, then a small or large group could take the same journey with thier MINI's.

The bride has strong(er) opinions. But, there are compromises on both sides.

Rudy,

PM me your mailing address and I will send you a complete MTTS packet I have two We will be heading off to meet leg 9 of the journey this morning (Nashville to STL) and then on to Indy tomorrow morning Hopefully when you get back from Germany you'll be able to hook up with a group of MINI's and retrace the journey (at least part of it). If by chance you get stationed in the St Louis area, we have a very active club - look us up. (stlmini.com)

Where are you in Germany? My dad is USAFRet and we were stationed in Ramstein, Germany many years ago. Hope you are enjoying the country. We did and hope to go back some day.
