Bought this from another NAM member but got hosed....

2004 MC 4 slat chrome grill just paid 55.00 shipped. will take any resonable offer....I was told it was a dealer take off...looks okay will send pics to all who request...
THis is a Mini Cooper grill, will not fit an MCS (at least I don't think so)

 

Will it fit an 06 MC??

I'm thinking about a project grill with built in driving lights (sort of like the new Mustang GT). Of course, I'll have to find a different place for my grill badges.

 

I think you bought yours from the same guy I did. I got the 3 slat grille and I feel the same way you do.

 

How'd you get hosed? The 4 slat grille fits just fine on any MINI.

The "arch" piece is sculpted with some grooves for the 04, the 06 "arch" is flat and smooth.

I did not get hosed on fitment. It was the "dealer take-off" part that I had issues with. Taken off by the dealer after a few thousand miles maybe.

No problem. It will fit. The tricky part is getting the lower grille slat in place. If it is any encouragament, my grille came from a high mileage Cooper and it really looks just fine even though it does have some blemishes. Once it is on the car, you really won't see the minor imperfections.

I was just thinking of something similiar. I'm wondering if a new CR MC owner wants to trade his chrome grille for my new CR grille? It sounds like its technically feasible then? Would it fit as well as the http://www.mossmini.com/Shop/ViewPro...eIndexID=41706 piece?

Might be a better idea to just spend the $95 and get a new one if it fits better.
