Yeah, what exactly is a "JCW" wheel? Is it that carbon fiber stuff?

It's a steering wheel. Thick diameter (hence the 'fatty' nickname) which many people prefer. Comfortable on the hands and gives the car much more of a sporty/performance feel.

The picture doesn't show any multifunction buttons. Is this not compatible with cruise and audio controls?

You must move over your existing air bag and multi function controls/dummy plates. This is an easy swap out.

From what I've seen, no. The airbag connects to the wheel differently on the R56. Also I believe the spokes are a little thicker on the R56.

You would need the air bag, MF controls , the wiring for the MF controls, 3 torx screws and the bottom spoke dummy plate. Here is a link to the parts breakdown:
