Just wanted to chime-in to say that pauliekeys is a great seller. I just bought a 3-spoke steering wheel from him and received the item nicely packed and shipped in the most cost effective method (I'm in Hawaii). Paul kept me up to date on every step of the transaction, and is even sending me the difference in shipping cost (he guestimated and was a little high).

Yes, it will work for an MC. You would want to get it remapped for your car. I know Chad at Detroit tuned does custom mapping. PM me for any details you might want to know. Thanks !

Yeah, I never talked to Chad about the Unichip working with the MC, I only spoke to him about an MCS. Chad seems to be very much in the know about the Unichip. I'll bet he has the answer's regarding the Unichip on an MC and he certainly went out of his way to help me with all my questions. He's a great guy in my book ! Unichip show's that it will work on an MC and info can be found there.

This is the new one that's a bit nicer than the previous version, right?

Being the Q designation I would guess so

Figure I have bumped this thread a few times I might as well continue

Also for a normal MC I have the Unichip (older model) with Chads tune on it. I have noticed a marked improvement in off the line acceleration and about 3 - 4 MPG higher + 1 MPG higher for the CAI

so I am getting 34 MPG right now mixed City Highway about 50/50

I bought an older unit from Chad for the MC. At this time he said he cannot remap the Q unit for the MC only the MCs. He was trying to get it worked out on the MC and may have by now. I noticed better bottom end HP/Torque and 2 to 3 MPG.. Great Product..

question: after installed with unichip, is it required to put even higher octane gas, or still put 91 is good in order to get the performance?

With the Flux module, you can choose any number of fuel grades. The unit was programmed for 91 octane but with a hand held PDA or lap top, you can change a number of things in your driveway. It's kind of amazing what all you can do with the flux module although you don't have to do anything once it's set. If you go to the Unichip web site, you can see the list of all the things the flux unit can do. The only reason I don't want to install the Unichip is because I have a 17% pulley and there are no maps available for that pulley. Only 15% pulleys have been mapped. When I talked to Unichip they told me that there are no current planes to add maps utilizing 17% pulleys. The unit is set for a 15% pulley,CAI and exhaust. With the flux module you are able to choose what ever mods you have with out having to return the unit to Unichip or any Unichip dealer. So, if you have no mods you can select that map or if you have just a 15% pulley, you can just select that map ect ect. It's a very cool unit I must say and a steal of a deal for what they cost new.
If you have more questions, please send me a PM and I'll anser any questions you have. I've talked to Brad at Detroit Tuned and he has been a big help to me with my questions.
