FS: Maxi View Blind Spot Mirrors
HEAR YE, HEAR YE! As of this edit date - 10/27/07 - I have another set of these wonderful mirrors to sell Same price as before, but hurry; the other set sold in a day!
Brand New! Never Used. From what I recall a pair would cost at least (based on discounts that are sometimes available) $36.90 shipped new from the manufacturer ($29.95 a pair + $6.95 S/H) or even more if you live in California (due to the addition of sales tax). Furthermore, the company is relocating and their website indicates they are not even taking orders until after November 1st!
http://www.maxiviewmirrors.com - APPARENTLY NO LONGER A VALID LINK!
I ended up with an extra set by mistake and selling them here seems to be the easiest course to take now. It is also a better deal than purchasing these new from Maxi View for anyone who is in need.
I have a Cabrio and good blind spot mirrors are essential when the top is up (and nice to have even with the top down). I tried the other leading blind spot mirror, which is the Multivex overlay-type and did not like them (YMMV), as I did not want the typical, small and distorted view, "spot" mirror. While these are an adhesive, spot-type of mirror I did not find them obtrusive or distorted (which had been my negative bias) and they are NOT a stationary mirror either (like the typical small spot mirror), as they are mounted to a swivel-ball for an unlimited number of adjustment possibilities; no matter who is driving or how they like to adjust their seat there will never be a blind spot again on either side of your car. I wouldn't switch to anything else and why I can comfortably recommend them here with enthusiasm.
$25 (OBO) and I'll cover the S/H to you for the set.

You can see the mirrors on the website via the link I posted above, but let me see if I also have any photos of them on my Mini. I'll get back to you on that in a few.

These photos are of my Mini; hope these show you what you wished to see. (NOTE! - These photos were moved to the post I made to this thread on 12/2/07; post #43).

Regular spots sure, but adjustible wide-angle ones like in the photo? I seriously doubt it, because I NEVER saw anything like these there or Auto Zone or any other place like those shops.

It is a new set of mirrors and I wasn't sure that editing the old one (where a set was already sold) was being understood.

Well, since you asked, these are the ones I've seen in the stores.
2 Pack Blind Spot Mirror, for Use on Cars, RV`s and Vans, Provides Wide Angle View, 360 degree, Adjustable, Pressure Sensitive Installation.
The ones being sold by Blackie look to be a better overall product and have certainly been valuable to many people.
PM me if you want me to remove this post so as not to interfere with your sale.

Well, since you asked, these are the ones I've seen in the stores.
They swivel on their angled base to allow for adjustment from what I understand. I can't comment on their effectiveness because I went with the $1.49 fixed convex blind spot mirror and am content with those.

From looking at the photo only, the round ones you show above would seem to have a smaller surface area, as the Maxi-Views are exactly what their name implies - maximum view, in a substantial horizontal view that allows you to use both the "spot" and your standard sideview mirrors in coordination more easily. The Maxi-View is also on a swivel, but they are not mounted flush to your sideviews (again improving view coverage) like these round ones appear to be.

I have these - they take a short period of adjustment since you're not used to such a wide angle view, but I really like 'em now. I travel frequently and really miss these when I've got a rental car. BUMP for you!

Thanks for reporting in with your opinion. Without a doubt these are the best mirrors for the job!

It must be timing, because my first pair of these sold within about an hour. Yet these are sitting here for a couple days already without a nibble.
As has been said, these are unlike anything you have ever used before. Do not be fooled into thinking these are like the round spot pictured in a few posts above.

What's up folks? I know these Minis have terrible blind spots, especially the cabrios and these are absolutley the best mirrors I have come across. You'll wonder how you ever managaed without them before you get yourself a set!

This is probably the best mod available on here for the money. These are life-savers, literally! If Palo Uber sold them, they would have little UJ stickers on them, would cost twice as much, and the adhesive would probably dry out!

This is hard to figure. The Mini, especially the Cabrio, has a pretty difficult blind spot and these are the ABSOLUTE BEST mirrors on the market and these are brand new and at a significant discount. The first pair sold in less than a day and there were several bids. This time, not even a nibble. What's up folks?

I have an '05 MCSC and I have found that if I set up my side mirrors as described by the 'Car Talk' guys, I don't have any problems with blind spots either to the left or right. Right behind is another issue, but no side mirrors will help that, only a camera hooked to the nav screen.
