How about a motoring adventure up to and around the Rocket City of Huntsville on March 20. There is a strong chance you will see sights you never knew about in Hville. No details have been finalized other than the date. Put it on the calendar and if you have an interesting route to get there, be ready to lead on the 20th. I hope this date will fit into everyone's plans. More to come................ :smile:

Count me in on this one! Sounds like fun. I have not been in Huntsville since I went to space camp 20 years ago!

 

The S&R center has changed a lot. I haven't been in the museum in ages but the outside is more obvious in the skyline now. The weatherman is calling for some nice weather so it should make for a nice drive and a good day to be outside.

Congrats on the 3rd place finish Yucca.

 

This was a very enjoyable ride right from the very start. I have seen blue lights behind me, but certainly with a different intent. We left Birmingham with a County Sheriff escort with full lights and sirens. We went throught Center Point and Pinson to US Hwy 79N with two sheriffs patrol cars at 60 MPH. I am still trying to wipe the grin off my face. Other cars were pulling onto the shoulder both going and coming. You never know what you will miss if you don't come out and drive the MINI Cooper. It was a beautiful day, with four MINIs leaving Bham, meeting two in Guntersville and then a rendevous with six Rocket City MINIs. We went up and down, left and right, ate, and continued with the same. For those who came back to Bham we were easily back by 5:00 pm. If you see Jonathan/Jennifer, Jassen/Julie/Amanda, Bob Waugh, or Judy/me, be sure to ask about this one. Hope to post pics soon to BAMAMINI.com. Motor OOooOONN
