Idea for MOTD10 Adventure (Poll)

We were thinking of putting together a new adventure for MOTD10...

ZORB'ing (click here for website & videos)

We've contacted ZORB Smoky Mountains and they are willing to discount their rates for a large group. We've asked for a quote on 30 people:

ZYDRO (wet) ride: $28.05 per person (less intense, straight or zig zag track)
ZORBIT (dry) ride: $33.15 per person (most intense, only straight track)
ZORB-tri-riffic (combo of any 3 rides): $61.20 per person

If we can get 51 people, we will be able to get an even greater discount:
ZYDRO (wet) ride: $26.40
ZORBIT (dry) ride: $31.20
ZORB-tri-riffic (combo of any 3 rides): $57.60

We've wanted to do this for the past couple years, but figured it would be much more fun if our MINI friends joined us!!

If enough people respond, we'll set it up. Let me know if you're interested!

PS - We're doing the Zydro! Wet & Wild!!!

AS the famous MOTD saying goes... "if you host it, they will come"

So how far is the ride from Fontana to their location? That might give people an idea of whether they'd be up for it or not.
Looks like fun, regardless!

It's in Pigeon Forge ... about the same 2 hour drive (each way) as the Zipline Adventure.

Thanks guys! I was thinking we'd head out early Thursday morning, do the Zorb'ing then grab lunch at the Applewood Farmhouse.

And just in case ya'll are concerned about doing the Zydro in the cold, if it's cold out the put warm water inside....LOL!! And they run their operation year round. This is the only place in the US to go Zorb'ing!

I'm interested, have 3 people.
Just have to see MOTD schedule. Make sure no conflicting activities.

Probably the wrong section and maybe the thought has been entertained before but I was just sitting here and all of a sudden the idea came upon me - - What about a couple of softball games , one for the young at heart and another for the over the hill group (but still young at heart) or just mix the teams.....Maybe some cheerleaders from the grace kelly era for the over the hill group, okay maybe I'm wishing for too much but it could be fun showing our ball skilzzz... Would definately add another memory to the next MOTD...

Jack thought of doing it, but after Donna was unable to lead the Zipline for the second year, I asked Jack to take that one on instead.

We do have someone that will be getting together Kickball next year. All the events depend on volunteers to lead them. If you would like to lead/organize a softball game, I'd be more than happy to post and promote it
