Top 3 Favorites
OK, besides driving twisties, which would obviously be everyone's favorite event at MOTD. What was your top 3 favorite events you did this year?!
I had to think about it the entire way home but have finally decided . . .
1. Ice Cream Run
2. Learning how to clay and wax my MINI
3. Xiek & Scott singing its Raining Men

In no particular order: (probably could have expanded this to way more than 3)
Sitting on the Wildwood grill porch in a rocking chair, watching Vendor Alley with the Smoky Mountains in the background.
Watching the Panoramic Photo shoot take place.
Just having folks come up to me and say what a great time there were having. Especially hearing the Newbies say how they already are planning on coming back next year.

I think if he lowered his price a bit, he’d sell more copies... (I still buy one anyway)

I was only able to be there for one day this year, but I'm glad I was able to make the Dragon Parade. It was an awesome experience and many thanks to those who organized it. Hopefully next year I can spend a night or two and get to know some of you.
BTW, did anyone else see the Dodge Neon with the MINI stickers?? What was that all about???

My Top 3
As a Newbee, it was my first trip. I'll list mine from the bottom up.
3. Meeting new friends. What a great group of people.
2. My newbee dragon run. I made the mistake of pulling in 4th in line. Little did I know our fearless leader was about to embark on his 100th run. I had already run the dragon twice, so I figured this run would be a cakewalk. NOT! I really, really, really enjoyed that run.
1. None of you can possibly top this. I was singing Karoke. After singing, "Folsom Prison Blues", another member of our party who had been after me to propose to my partner, Chari, said, "I thought you would propose to her at the end of that song." I responded. "You wanted me to propose to her after singing Folsom Prison Blues?" She asked, "What would be a more appropriate proposal song?" After hemming and hawing a bit, I said, "Willie Nelson - Always on my Mind." The next thing I know Sue is over at the Karaoke jock putting in that song. My bluff was called. When the song came up, I led Chari to the stage, sang "Always on my Mind," to her and proposed to her in front of about 150 of my closet friends. She accepted.
