Ice Cream Run
Ice Cream Run
Saturday May 2nd at 11:15am will be having the 3rd annual Ice Cream Run to Soda Pops
right after the Panoramic Photo at Fontana Dam (lower).
This year we will be meeting at the General Store parking lot and leave there at 11:15am
in groups of 15 MINI's at a time.
We will have multiple drive leaders to avoid any confusion with a large group.
For those with radios plan on using channel 17 sub 1 for the trip to Bryson City.
For those with GPS the address for Soda Pops is:
141 Everett St
Bryson City, NC 28713
(828) 488-5379
The drive is approximately 40 mins down route 28 to route 74 into Bryson City.
Soda Pops is located next to a fantastic sandwich shop called The Filling Station.
The Filling Station has one of the best Cuban sandwiches I have ever had
along with several other types of sandwiches and sodas.
So while this may be called an Ice Cream Run it also serves as a prefect Lunch Run as well.

While registration is not required for this event, please let us know if you plan
on attending so that we can have a general idea of how many drive leaders we will be needing.
Even if you decide at the last minute to join everyone is welcome.
Parking is extremely limited in front of Soda Pops / The Filling Station.
The owner of Soda Pops has confirmed arrangements with the city to allow us to park at
the administration building directly behind Soda Pops, this location has ample parking for
all attending.

That's SATURDAY May 2nd, right Dave? Just making sure.
I'm uber in!! Also, a note on lunching, there is a little Italian/Pizza place right down main street there that has some really really good pizza. My wife and I went there on a little day trip to Bryson City and the sandwich shop was closed. So if you don't want to stand in line for that great Cuban sandwich and try the pizza over at the Italian place.
