Space at the Boar..

All,

I have the Blackberry Cottage at the Blue Boar Inn, from the evening of the 30th, with checkout on the 5th. Am willing to adjust those dates, if necessary, as well.

The girlfriend and I only need one of those rooms, however. Anyone game for the other one?

Check their site for rates, and we'll just split it down the middle. $250/night, plus one-time $60 cleaning fee. I have no issue with kicking out for an extra day at the start or end, to accomodate splitting the cottage comfortably.

Drop me a PM if interested, just give me a bit to respond. I'm in Iraq now, and won't always catch PM's that quickly. Trust me, I'm doing my best to watch the PM's now.

Cheers!
Matthew Z.

Ahh.. Sometimes it's better to be lucky rather than smart (or prepared..).

Just got a room at the Microtel Inns and Suites (robbinsville)for $85/night even though the web says they're booked ("i saw it on the internet... it must be true!")... call quickly kids ... this place is only 30 mins from Fontana...

Waiting for a reply from one interested party, I've got half of the Blackberry Cottage at Blue Boar Inn available, if you're interested.

http://www.blueboarinn.com

There's only so much I can remember off the top of my head, so go ahead and take a look there, then get back to me. I'm in Iraq now, in transit, so may not answer every PM quickly. Something to do with the nine to twelve-hour time difference, I'd imagine

Cheers!

A brief clarification, for those that are not familiar with the Boar's rates - $250 gets the WHOLE cottage, your share would be $125/night. Likewise on the cleaning fee, you would owe $30.

Cheers!

Microtel

Just wanted to let anyone who is interested in the Microtel that you have to call the local number to reserve a room, if you try online or by using the reservation line they will tell you they have no rooms available. But when I called the local number they had rooms available.

Also looking for space if anyone has a reservation they may not be using. Looks like I am going to have the Classic in order so I am going to take the ride over from Charlotte with my 4 yr old twin boys. May try the camping option if all else fails (that could be an adventure )
Drop me a PM if you have any leads. thx

Shoot Thumper that was quick... We are going to be coming up on Friday anyway so... thanks for the offer. The boys are really well behaved so they will not be an issue (add all the fresh air they are going to get and I will have to fight to keep them awake.)

I'm listing this for a non-NAMer friend:

He's looking for a roommate (male or female) that's okay with sharing a room to cut costs. The room has double twin beds.... The other room in the cabin is with a married couple. Cost is around $30/night. References available

He's got it from Saturday 27 April -Sunday 4 May and its a PRIME location at Fontana

He would like someone interested in the full week if possible.

email/pm if interested.

ROOM IS SOLD! YAY!

If anyone is interested in splitting the cost of a room at Fontana, please let me know. It's my first MOTD and I really want to try to stay at Fontana. I'll be there late Wednesday and leave Sunday. Thanks.

The Country Hearth Inn in Andrews, NC is a nice place at reasonable rates. The drive to Fontana is not too bad. MOTD is about some good road time anyway.

I am unable to make the event this year. I have a reservation at Fontana Village in one of the Inn buildings (not a cabin, and not the main lodge building). The reservation is for a 2 Queen room from May 1st through the 4th. The rate is $79.20 per night. So three nights total is $237.60. If you are interested, please contact me via phone only at 504-723-5534. First come, first serve!!
