Mac Users - MOTD 6 Countdown Widget
For the third year in a row I have created a Mac OSX countdown widget for MOTD. Click here to download it. Enjoy!
And just for fun, here is a fancy MotoringFILE RSS widget, brand new and freshly updated for OSX 10.5!

I have updated the MOTD 2008 widget to make it a bit smaller, and a little more slick.
There is also a MotoringFile widget that I wrote about 2 years ago that has been recently linked to from MotoringFile.

Question for Mac users....When I drag one of the smilies over into my text the link to the smiley is printed instead of the actual smiley. What's the remedy for that? or is it a "me" problem and not a "Mac" problem. I've had other occaisions where things formulated for PC just don't work for Mac.

It's funny. I actually make a living doing IT work for Windows, won't touch it at home though. We won't get into that here.
Windows Vista Gadgets (i think that's what they call them) are compiled differently than Mac Widgets. Same basic concept, but a different way of compiling things. From what I understand, they are closer to Konfabulator (Yahoo!) Widgets. Since I don't own a copy of Vista, and we don't use it at work yet, I have no way to write one. Otherwise I would be more than happy to.
