FYI. We (Sunshine MINIs) had reserved the upstairs of the Bistro on the River for lunch on Saturday. Well, earlier this week I got a call from Carlos the chef that they could no longer accomodate us. Turns out the owner of the Bistro is holding a auction that weekend for some very pricey lots in his high end resort he is developong and has over 400 people coming.

Just wanted to pass that along for anyone that was planning on going there.

 

Thanks for the warning. My family was hoping to eat at the Bistro this year.
We are still planning on driving the Cherahala Parkway on Saturday. Has your group found a "Plan B" for lunch on your drive?

 

Did he say that was only for the weekend? We were planning on going that way on Wednesday, and may stop there

 

The auction is on Saturday and they said they could not accomodate us either Friday or Saturday. We were a party of 30, don't know about smaller groups though. You might want to give them a call.
