The RSVPs are being sent to me, so I can give a running total if you want. So far, we have 6 MINIs registered, and 10 kids. I'm sure that number will go up as it gets closer. And any stragglers are welcome to join in at the last minute.

For the egg hunt, we can call it a DRAGON EGG HUNT. Isn't that great?? I love it! So far, we have three people bringing 24 eggs each. We'll need more than that. I'll just bring all I have, which is way more than 24.

I found CHEAP plastic eggs at Toys R Us. They are .28 for a dozen, so I got tons. I'm going to get bubble gum from Sam's Club to fill all my eggs. I'm bringing as many as I have, so the kids should have lots of fun hunting.

Speaking of kids, there are still a couple people who posted earlier in this thread who said they'd be bringing kids, but haven't registered. Get cracking!

See you in three weeks!

We have 20 Little Dragons "Bumper Stickers" printed! So far it seems that will be enough. I'm getting excited!

Kamofrogg and Pamalalala - THANK YOU so much for pulling this together. Jack had a GREAT time. It was obvious that this wasn't an instant, spur of the moment event. I appreciate y'all putting time and effort into it, and I know all the kids did, as well!

Thanks to everyone involved in this event. My boy Tom had a great time, and he sleeps with the stuffed dragon toy.

Help! Im looking for a guy who had his young daughter as his co-pilot at the dragon. I believe he said they were camping and he had 2 round grey containers on the back of his car. We took a picture of he and his daughter together at the lookout on the Dragon. Anyway, his daughter had a t-shirt with a MINI on it and it said "Ive got one and you dont" on it and I cant remember where he said he got it from. I want one for my son and have been searching everywhere and cant find it. Any help would be appreciated!

If they were the golf bag containers on the back, that was Brent from MiniDoMore (vendor).

If you don't meet with other success from a NAM vendor...

I personally saw them at Brecht MINI last weekend. I'm sure they'd be happy to sell/ship you one. 1.760.520.3000

I saw them, but they didn't attend the Little Dragons event. You used to be able to purchase those shirts at the MINI dealerships, but they change their shirts so often, they're probably discontinued.

Back on topic...

I was thinking last night (which is dangerous).

Seeing how we have an extra day next year, I'd like to organize one or more "family focused" drives, scheduled around the other Little Dragons stuff and other popular stuff if possible.

I'm specifically thinking a kid/family friendly drive to the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge / Sevierville area - lots of stuff to do over there (awesome Ripley's aquarium, Dollywood if it's open - which is actually nice with fun fair-type rides and a small coaster, gokart track, Zorb, and lots of other stuff). I'm thinking an organized time/drive over there and back, with folks free to do whatever floats their boat while there.

Also perhaps a "family" waterfalls drive - since the kids actually like to get their feet wet, not just look at waterfalls.

I'll work on scheduling for these as we get closer to the event.

Hope to still leave enough time to do club drives, etc...

Thoughts? Interest?

Pam and I talked the other night, and this idea was mentioned, but we didn't focus on it. I think it's a great idea. I don't think we'll have time to do more than one family drive, since just one will take the better part of a day, but we can decide on one family drive and add it on. If we can get just a few things for families, this "adult-oriented" event can be more fun for the kids. We already have started planning for next years Little Dragons, have decided to add in a pool party, are working on something just for the teens, and now a drive. Then there's the drive-in, and ice cream run. The kids should have a blast next year.

Agreed - One family drive is probably a good goal for next year. I'll own that. I'll work with y'all to pick a day.

I agree that with the stuff we're planning, this is making MOTD a viable familiy vacation option - which is AWESOME. We need to get the word out early and often later this year and early next year - so folks with families start to think of it that way and we get more of a draw...

Again - I REALLY appreciate all that Kamofrogg and Pamalalala are doing to make this a reality!
