Hello from colorado!

Hi all...

Recently bought this 2025 Mini Cooper S F66.

Had a 2020 JCW in the past, which I sold to buy a Lotus Elise. Got that out of my system and decided I wanted another Mini, as the last one was a lot of fun.

The power and handling are equivalent to the previous 2020 JCW and it is truly a pleasure to drive.
Sometimes, there is a bit of lag in the pedal response when accelerating, but it is not terrible and I have gotten used to it.
I might try a Roar Pedal, which should reduce this considerably... or drive it in Go Kart mode!

My gas mileage is fantastic. I am averaging 37 mpg driving it around town.
Driving on the highway using distance cruise control (which is a wonderful piece of technology), achieves even significantly better mpg than that. I was not expecting this kind of mileage and am pleasantly surprised.

While the operating system/display is incredibly customizable, I still prefer a more logical mix of analog and digital that the JCW provided. I found that perfect and would have liked Mini to stay the course.
I don't find it easy to make adjustments on the fly while driving. It requires taking eyes off the road for what should be a simple task with an analog switch.
There was a recent software/firmware upgrade. It was somewhat glitchy after the download, but it has now settled down and I've had no problems since.
Not quite sure what bugs the upgrade was supposed to fix, but I don't notice much difference from the previous firmware.

I really like the overall looks of this new Mini, both interior and exterior. I know some owners don't like certain aspects of the interior appointments, but I do.
To each his own....

Not quite sure why Mini decided to do away with the exposed rear exhaust tips. I think it added a nice look to the prior year cars.
I assume that eventually an aftermarket supplier might supply a resolution to this.

Right now, there are very few aftermarket parts available for our F66 Minis.
I did buy a set of locking lug bolts, which fit perfectly and were much less expensive than what was offered by the dealer.
I also picked up a custom fit sunshade, as the black dash/interior really heats up quickly when parked in the sun, even for a short time.
I bought some correct touchup paint and have used it on a couple of small spots... perfect.

So far, so good.

Glad to see some other 2025 Mini owners out there on the forum.
This is a good resource for information....

Thanks....
Overall, I would give this new Mini a thumbs up. Yes... there are a few things I would change, but I can live with them.
I've owned a lot of cars over the years and they all had their pluses and minuses.
As long as the all digital OS platform remains stable and is not an issue, I'm good.

Thanks ECSTuning....

I purchased a custom sunshade from you for my new MIni... perfect!

Hope more gear comes out for these 4th gen Minis.
Will be interested in seeing if someone comes up with a better exhaust system with exposed tips, like the old Minis.

That's great! Yep, we have that in a pipeline but no eta yet. Only product is for the JCW/body exhaust people and add the tips if you have the factory JCW diffuser, milltek system.

Totally agree. Been eyeing the Milltek and Remus exhaust options. The plain flat rear end is really the only thing that bugs. me.

Probably not a popular opinion, but I kinda like the S better than the JCW for the overall look. Just want to see and hear the exhaust a little better.

Not sure why Mini/BMW decided to do away with the exposed exhaust. I think it was a great look on previous years...

Also looking for a custom fit, one piece black center stripe for the hood, similar to this.
The UK offers some accessory hood stripes, but hard to find anything in the states.

Any decal shop can do that.

These are the only USA decals, Favoured, JCW, and heritage : https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/par...Cooper_S&mg=03

I checked with a few shops (dealer included) in my area that do this kind of thing. They wanted $400+...
I'll do it myself if I can find the right custom fit center stripe....
I have someone in the UK checking on this and looks like I might be able to source the part through them....
