Hello All!!

I am new as of today and am considering buying a Clubman ...I am also considering a Volvo C30, Ford Taurus SHO or a Dodge Challenger. Let me explain...the Challenger reminds me of my first car, a 1967 Barracuda . The throaty growl of the Hemi V-8 is awesome and it turns heads!! BUT mpg not so good, Dodge reliability not so good and I would hate to pile the miles on a dream car that would be my daily driver. Ford SHO because Ford took no bailout money and my AWD 05 Merc Montego has been great and I would get a big discount since my bro in law works for Ford. Volvo C-30 is unique, customizable and interesting. Also has good mpg and very safe. Reliability not so great and it really misses the fun factor in numb steering and kind of boring experience...SO TELL ME ALL...WHY SHOULD I BUY A MINI CLUBMAN??? Opinions please...

Go with what makes your heart sing & puts a smile on your face every time you see it & is fun to drive. That's how I chose my MCSa - I customized it to my wants & haven't looked back.

Add-in 36 mpg highway and 29 mpg city, excellent handling, great seats, built like a baby tank

As none of the 3 cars you are looking at have no relationship to a MINI, what can I say. Stomping on the gas pedal of the Dodge could be fun, but there is the question of Chrysler reliability, I can't see any fun factor in either the Ford or Volvo. So do whatever you want but I think you need to drive the MINI some more and then compare it to the other 3.

The SHO is not really a looker, but 365 HP Ecoboost V6, is sweet. Maybe if they made a Fusion with the 365 HP Ecoboost V6 would be something I would take to the prom. But at $37,995 makes the SHO an expensive prom date. Talking 335i money. Challenger, not sure bout the one that does the shot put. Also bit of pretentious car for my taste, plas I like good handling cars. Volvo, the small boring one no one pays attention too. For $31,700 you could get a JCW Clubman and for S24,700 Clubman S. Hmm.

i would recommend driving one and seeing if it is for you. on paper there are many cars that are faster, but for some reason the MINI seems so much fun.
