Well, I went and did it... I bought a 2025 Mini Cooper S 3 door F66 hatchback.
This is in Chili Red II with a white top... and it is fast and fun.
This is my second Mini Cooper. I had a 2020 JCW 3 door hatchback, also in Chili Red.
BTW...the new Chili Red II paint is just the slightest lighter red than the original.
You will need to keep that in mind should you order any touchup paint.
The JCW was a really great car, but I got a 'wild hair', sold it and bought a Lotus Elise.
Got that out of my system and decided to go back to a Mini for my fun driver.
The large round OLED digital screen and related operating system in my new Mini took quite a bit of getting used to.
The lack of analog switches... well, I am not sure this is a better idea by Mini, but it is what it is. I much preferred the setup in my 2020, that melded both analog and digital quite nicely, thank you.
However, this system is incredibly customizable (I turned off a lot of the 'bells and whistles'), but it is an ongoing learning curve figuring out this complicated digital assistant.
Even now, I have to refer to the manual at times to access all the features.
Not quite sure why they did away with the visible exhaust tips in the rear of the car. I liked that look in my JCW.
I also wish I could turn off the start/Stop feature permanently, but this a minor annoyance.
Right now, there aren't too many 'performance' parts (or parts in general) available for the new 4th Gen Minis.
Would like to add a center stripe to the hood, but I haven't found a custom fit one available anywhere.
Outside of this, I love the car.
Unlike some comments I've read, I really like the interior. The materials, 'white' seats and interesting choice of 'cloth' are different, but nice.
The power, the handling, the sound system and the overall ride quality make this a car I look forward to driving.
Glad to be part of this forum.
Will post some additional photos of my trips with this go-kart in our beautiful Rocky Mountains...
