Last month, I put a deposit down on my first MINI, and excited to join the MINI Band of Brothers.. The expected Production date is August, MA says the time to produce is longer because it is a JCW. I was also denied the Harmon Kardon radio supposedly due to chip shortage. While this is somewhat of a disappointment, I adjust to this emotionally because my hearing is below standard anyway due to tinnitus. So I am not too disappointed.

I've owned many cars over the last few decades. BMW 435, BMW 328, and Honda Civic CRX are some that could be considered cousins to the MINI. My main driver (pun!) for choosing a MINI is it is close in driving experience to my favorite small car previously which was a Honda CRX. I owned two CRXs and absolutely loved them.. One got 55 mpg and was a blast to drive. I think Honda has lost its way in design and wish they would bring back a pure gasoline CRX.

I currently drive a 2020 Ford Expedition MAX and plan to use the MINI as my daily driver to work 30+ miles one way once we go back to the office post COVID.
