We picked up our 2025 F66 S, and have just over 1000 miles on it. It's a kidney killer on bumpy roads, any kind of non smooth surface compared to any of our last 14 MINIs we've owned. I've yet to see anyone complain about theirs, so maybe ours is a lemon?
I love the ride on my 2025 S. Yeah hitting a pothole here or there sucks, but I don't have any issues at all with just normal road driving. I also always drove my Civic Si in Sport mode and I think this is a more smooth ride than that.

I feel the same way, although it's my first Mini. Absolutely love it.
Sounds like i need to talk to KONI about this. They have them for the F56 but not yet for the F66. Make sure they removed extra bump stop holders that are in place when its on the boat. I think those would have been removed.
i have a JCW and the frequency response dampers are interesting... some road surfaces it handles remarkably well and other times i am literally being tossed out of my seat. i will be jumping on an aftermarket option as soon as available for a balanced ride quality.
Edit: i specc'ed 17s specifically for ride comfort. still on the stock runflats so swapping those out might help.

I have an S with the 17" wheels, and the ride is quite comfortable. I went with the 17" wheels for this reason. I think if you have 18" wheels, and especially if you have run flat tires on them, the ride would be dramatically different.
Only issue with the 17" wheel option is they come with all-seasons, which suck. So I swapped them out with Continental ExtremeContact Sport 02 and the combo of the 17" wheels and the summer tires with a reasonable amount of sidewall providing a bit more cushion feels like an ideal setup for both great handling and a comfortable ride.
Update: i had Continental DWS06+ fitted (replacing OEM HANKOOK VENTUS S1 EVO3 run flats). Here's my take after a few hundred miles:
Small imperfections in the road surface - much improved, travel over the small stuff is much smoother
Medium imperfections / cracks - again, much improved. the car isnt an S class, but softer tires noticeably absorb impacts better
Larger imperfections - marginal improvement. over the bigger stuff i still feel like i am being tossed into the air and coming down hard. resolving this issue might take softer springs, or coilovers :(
Other - tire noise went up slightly vs the hankooks. its not bad but did notice it immediately. have not really tossed the car around much so cant comment on handling but it is more gummy due to the softer tire. i am also still messing with tire pressures.

Good to hear about the Continental's. I've had DWS06 on my previous 4 cars (from Audi to Kia Sorento) and really like their balance between all weather, grip, and wear life.
My '25 Cooper S came with 18" VREDESTEIN ULTRAC PRO tires. Seem to be ok so far, but haven't gotten it on the Tail of the Dragon yet, so we'll see how they do.
Just got this 2025 Cooper S F66 and the ride is surprisingly good.
I was driving a 2005 Lotus Elise prior to this, so anything would be an improvement in the ride quality department
Actually did a dirt road trip on Boreas Pass here in Colorado with the Mini.
This was an old wagon route in the 1860s before becoming the highest narrow-gauge railroad in 1882.
The road is mostly gravel but navigable by 2WD vehicles in good weather.
Didn't try to push it too hard. Took my time and the Mini did great...

Nice! My guess is that the S is much more compliant than the JCW. My decision to find a solution was set when it was clear how much more compliant my spyder rs is in all conditions which is just bonkers.
I had a 2020 JCW, also in Chili Red with a black top. This was a fantastic, and very fun to drive, Mini.
Got a wild hair, sold it and bought the Lotus. Got that out of my system and decided to buy another Mini.
I don't remember the suspension being much different than my current 2025 F66 S.
Shortly after buying the JCW (pre-owned, low miles) and going through the car top to bottom, front to back, I got rid of the run flat tires and installed a set of Continental Extremes.
This made a HUGE difference in handling and the overall ride.
I did like the more analog aspect of the 2020, but that is a topic for another day.... 2020 JCW

Just came across this thread while wondering why my standard model F66 with a set of standard all season Hankook has such a back breaking ride (which I don't recall from my test drive of a different F66). Would there be an easy way for me to check for this extra bump stop holders, just in case the dealer forgot to remove them?
I much prefer the ride on my new F66 JCW over my ex F56 S. Am running 215 45 R 17 91H Vredestein Quadtrac Pro M+S All Season. Is very firm but yet comfortable.

Hello,
Its the shipping
Look at the suspension. Should be no extra parts other then these.
I also have F67 JCW and the suspension also drives me crazy. I live by too many rough roads and freeways with large bumps. I regularly get the "thrown from the seat" feeling. I am looking into manually adjustable shocks as a way to get a softer daily driver, yet still a firm setting for going to the track. Ohlin MCS MU00S1 or Bilstein B16 PSS10 were suggested but these are all made for the F57 and still not sure if they will work on the new F67 Chassis. I also heard the Koni's are a good option, but still need to figure out what will work.
I just realized I had never posted back to this thread. to address the crashy ride I put on KW v3 coilovers and it helped a LOT! only drawback is that they do lower the car substantially even after setting it to the max ride height so now I scrape everywhere which is annoying. I recommend fitting KW street comfort since you gain back a bit more ride height. it seems like previous generation and current generation are compatible.
