It's not the fact that it's a cool Dragon sticker, it's definitely uncool to *apply* that sticker to someone elses car.

What's wrong with sliding the sticker under the wiper blade, and letting the car's *OWNER* decide if and where to apply it.
I was envisioning paint ball hits, keys, slashed tires... BBD said it best so far.

Considering the **** minute details routinely discussed on this forum I don't think it fair to mock this guy for not wanting a sticker randomly applied to his car without his knowledge. Sure the title of the thread was too extreme for the actual issue, and perhaps he posted it before trying to take it off so he didn't know it was not permanent (I can't blame him for that since I'd prob be careful not to want to shred it without being sure/careful first), but some of these really childish responses seem uncalled for. If it were me I'd prefer to have it left under the wiper or something as well (maybe attached with a bit of low tack tape to the driver's side window would have been good).

Wow.

Peel it off and put it on wax paper and I'll buy it from you...I wasn't able to go and would LOVE a Dragon sticker!

Have you dusted for fingerprints?

"It all comes down to freedom of speech, baby. You want to restrict the ability of the sticker applier to express his or her love of Minis and dragions, and that is just not going to fly. This is America, not Belarus, ok? If you have a problem with how we do things here, just move there."

Although it is rude to have a sticker applied to your car without your permission, I think calling it vadalism is a little extreme. In any normal situation, I'd understand your anger, but it IS the Dragon and folks do get caught up in the moment. You'd almost have to expect these sort of things.

I was expecting someone had keyed a dragon from the front to the rear of the car when I clicked on that thread. Then I tought it was a joke but now I don't know if it was suppose to be humor or not?

Nope...not my style, Mikey-boy. I, too, was branded (as back in 2004, when we got "Actual Size" stickers). I love my surprise, but I understand that folks may not be thrilled, especially if it's not where they would have chosen to place it.

It's been a lot of fun, but woke up to rain. I'm staying through until tomorrow.

I hope somebody posts pix of Sarcux's Sprog (aka "The Sticker *****")....the lad installed at least 15 new decals to an already abundantly adorned MINI!

violated by a sticker

Friday night at the Brew Swap, I saw a few of these on MINIs and wanted to know where to get them.

Then during the Autocross, I noticed that someone had "violated" my MINI. The only thing is that I know it will come off pretty soon as I had put fresh Rain-X on my windows.

Whoever did it, Thanks and where could I get another?

Chris

As was said, if you don't like it, peel it off. Its just vinyl so it will peel off cleanly and you will never know.

But I say thanks to the person who added a bit more fun and mystery to this year's Dragon festivities and please don't stop doing these fun things just because a few folks don't care for it.

Can it be gently removed and replaced elsewhere? Perhaps, as Clo suggested, placement is more of an issue.

Get over it. It's all in fun. No harm was done, I'm sure.

I was too... I was sitting here at Fontana, 5pm Sunday having a chat with the few people still here, and a silver chevy something-or-other drives up, a guy in a blue shirt hops out, tags the MOTD 2006 dragon on my Mini, and speeds off.

I just stood their with my jaw down, then started chuckling. Weee!

When I got in from the Midnight run last night, I was psyched to see I'd been tagged! Get a grip, it's on the glass and will peel right off.

I got tagged to, and no it can't be removed gently to be re-used. I personally was not offended by it, but I took it off as I am not such a big sticker person. It came off in various pieces.

Vern, a few folks lost their magnetic stickers while motoring, so maybe it wasn't nicked.

Wow, so much trash talk going on over here in this thead. I think the victim here should relax a bit and sit down, grab a beer or something and ponder on about why he's there at the Dragon. It's expected for these things to happen, and it's all in good spirits, nothing else. Besides, if it were on the body of the car i would understand but if it was stuck on glass (windshield or windows), seriously, it doesn't take much to peel it off.

As for some of the reply's in this thread, i've never seen so much trash coming out of your mouths, i know i make it sound as if ive been here forever but one things for sure, aren't we all adults and can't we judge without saying "WAAAAHHHH...you want your mommy!" or "You don't deserve to own a MINI!"...wait, i think some don't deserve to be on NAM, give some respect.

Oh and just some food for thought, i wonder what most of people would do, if you were to walk back to your car from work and find a sticker on your paint on the boot of the car, BS if you're gonna stand there and start laughing about it...from my experience, i ended up with a sticker on my truck and it's stuck there for good.

We had 2 MINIs there and only one got tagged! The one tagged already had stickers on it. It happened sometime early Friday morning.....very early...

I would have loved to have it be the first sticker on the new MINI!! Maybe the "tagger" could get me one??

Hmm lets see . How bout Drivers that decide to overtake whilst on 129 .
