Questions Re: Local gas stations..
Anybody know if the gas stations down there are fairly modern (like a mobil on the run or exxon).. reason I ask is because my father has graciously lent me his "speed pass" and I wanted to make sure I'll be able to find a station that has that capability down there..

What I have been told, is that fontanna really doesn't want all of us to fill up at their little spot since that is all they got. There is a bigger town about 30 miles away, I think Robinsville? that has more gas stations. If we all fill up in Fontanna, there will be NO gas left... So watch how low you get on the consumption.

Gas up in Robbinsville (not 30 miles away, more like 10). There is one tiny station at the entrance to Fontana, but I bet it can't handle the volume of need. The gas station at the Crossroads of Time, at the southern end of the Dragon frowns upon cars drinking up their fuel...they like to save it for the bikers.
Here's a suggestion...before you hit the Dragon, fill up. That might take some actual planning and map reading. If you're going on a drive, fill up the night before.
Gas will be a precious commodity, and I wouldn't be shocked to see $3.50 a gallon for premium...maybe even more.

All mind games, just like people can feel the extra HP with an intake or exhaust. People can't feel the power, they feel better throttle response, and the sound tricks the mind.

Last year the Fontana gas station as well as the Crossroads station both were out of premium on Sunday when everyone was heading home. There were some folks who were close to running on vapors on Saturday night thinking they would be gassing up the next day. My suggestion is that after tearing up the roads on Saturday, gas up before heading back to enjoy the farewell dinner (and perhaps gassing up there too )
