Litespeed factory tour on the way to or from MOTD

We all have by now found fun things to do while at the Dragon and I thought why not add something interesting for the way to or from MOTD. I work for a very high end bicycle company in Ooltewah, TN which is about 20 miles from Chattanooga on the way to Knoxville or more importantly on the way to the Dragon. We hand craft titanium road, mountain, triathlon and custom frames and just celebrated or 20th year aniversary. If you give as a little heads up, wear solid shoes and are older then 14 years old, we'd love to show you around. SpiderX already came by a few months ago. Our phone number there is 423-238-5530.

Cya at the Dragon,

Herbert

Below our chief engineer Brad explains to a group of cyclists how we shape titanium

Very nice, that sounds like a great tour. Super company too. Plus the bikes are awesome. I wish that i could go to MOTD this year, maybe next.

Back in 1994, when I lived up in Lake Tahoe I designed Litespeed's corporate "badge" (armored head crest and colored ribbons) and corporate brochure. I think they still use the logo head crest on the bikes to date

We had a blast doing their brochure, MoF, I designed an ad for Bicycling magazine that showed the "Mighty Obed" Mtn. bike going over the falls of the local Obed river. Well, Sharper Image got a hold of that and next thing you know the ad is on the cover of Sharper Image! [it wasn't really the Obed River, just Eagle Falls at the beginning of Fallen Leaf Lake near Lake Tahoe...]. All, in all what a great memory for me doing the work for them.

I'd be all over this if I was coming out.

Oh man, I would LOVE to check that out! Unfortunately I'm coming from the northeast, and this is too far out of my way. Nice offer, though.

Well the invite is really good any time and I'll be glad to show you around.
The factory is actually about an hour a nd a few minutes from the TN end of the Dragon. I could almost sleep at home each night, but where would be the fun in that. :-)

If your a cyclist this is a don't miss offer.... if you appreciate fine craftsmanship with exotic materials...this is a don't miss....if you want to spend some time with one of the premier manufacturers in the world at their craft...this is a don't miss.

Herbert took us on a great tour and it was fascinating to say the least even to my non biker employee salesperson.....

Wow Herbert...what a fantastic offer...hats off to you

Wow, if I wasn't about as far away as possible on the west coast of Canada I'd be all over this. My Vortex is one sweet ride. It doesn't wear you out after hours in the saddle and it is so stable especially on fast twisty decents. If i'm ever in the area I'll look you up.

Cheers
Dennis
