Do kids eat free?

Last year kids 12 and under could eat free if their parents paid. Is this the case this year?

Another question:

Not to sound cheap, but why $22 for a burger plate? Maybe I missed something that's included, but it seemed like a lot.

Wouldnt that all depend upon the part of the country you come from? Probably in CA, its dirt cheap, or NYC, or Boston, or Wash or ....

It's a buffet.

And also to answer Twister's question. Under 12 eating with a paid adult is fine, but only for the welcome dinner.

The farewell is a fancy-schmancy sit down thing and I don't think in the planning we did we ever thought about the kiddies. Give me a little while on that one.

Kids will be able to eat free at the Chili Cookoff/Cookout. There will be special goody bags and a Dragon pinata along with fun family games. If you are bringing children, please be sure and let us know how many so no one will be left out!

I guess I am cheap too I will only eat 1 burger & maybe some beans & $22 is a bit steep for me also. The Farewell Dinner seems like a bargain though

The chili cook-off/dinner will be online shortly. Mark has the information but stated he's extremely busy so it will be posted soon.

Please be sure that you state how many children will be coming! We want to make sure they have fun too!

CmderVimes stated above that it is a buffet, which I interpret to mean that all the listed food is available, not just a hamburger OR a hotdog OR a veggie burger OR the chicken.

I do understand that but most people only eat one hamburger or 2 hot dogs or 1-2 pieces of chicken with fixins. I do appreciate the effort all invloved have put in but sorry it's a bit high for this Alabama gal will see y'all at the farewell dinner

Just so you get a clear picture on the price...
There is some overhead in the price of the dinners. As we (DCMM) don't currently have our own processing system in place we are having Mark do all the money handling stuff for us. Our deal with him involved a charge per registration so that is in the price along with some wiggle room for food costs and such.

Trust me, in planning this we wanted to make it as reasonably priced as possible. If you don't feel that price fits the meal then by all means don't register, and as I have mentioned previously the restaurant on site will be operating so you can still get fed.
