If you can play be ear, you'll definitely be able to participate - we're not going to do anything remotely complicated!

One more easy one...

CCR, "Up Around The Bend"
This is what's so amazing about great songwriters - they take the same three chords that everyone else writes songs with, and write something completely timeless and unique!

D A D
There’s a place up ahead and I’m goin’ just as fast as my feet can fly
D A D
Come away, come away if you’re goin’, leave the sinkin’ ship behind.

Chorus:
G D A
Come on the risin’ wind,
G D A
We’re goin’ up around the bend.

Bring a song and a smile for the banjo, better get while the gettin’s good,
Hitch a ride to the end of the highway where the neons turn to wood.

Chorus

You can ponder perpetual motion, fix your mind on a crystal day,
Always time for a good conversation, there’s an ear for what you say.

Chorus

Catch a ride to the end of the highway and we’ll meet by the big red tree,
There’s a place up ahead and I’m goin’, come along, come along with me.

Chorus

LOL!.. I may do that!... I've played my drum machine through my car before... I have a little transmitter that will broadcast to an open FM station in my car and a 12VDC/110AC converter.. works pretty good actually.. I always thought it'd be kinda funny to just roll up to a MINI event with it and throw a spontaneous "Rave"..LOL!... The drum machine would certainly be easier to carry.. damn... I wish I had a trailer for all the crap I gotta bring now..

Thanks, sweetie! You feel better, bring all that Mayhem energy, and be safe motoring down to NC/TN. You're going to LOVE it!

Metal Mini, you can adjust your drum machine to "keep up" with the band, I trust.

Yes, I am the one signed up for tongue-clucking (this is what I get for having my SO sign me up...)

I'm also bringing maracas...because they're fun.

***

On another note, about "West Side Story"...err, "Mini Side Story"...we can use another musical in the meantime...

like "Annie Get Your Gun" (a duet between a Mini and a Jaguar - "Anything you can do, I can do better")

Or "A Chorus Line" (The song "One" could be the perfect anthem for Mini aficionados everywhere)

Or we could just get creative and make our own musical right on the spot. The anticipation of waiting for Mini to arrive, the first time you see a scratch or dent, the results of a hailstorm...all good ideas for an original Mini production.

It's not too much longer now...only 7 days away!

Not bringing my drums...

Hey guys, due to the outrageous cost of gas, I am not bringing my drums since we are only driving the MINI. I would still like to come by and jam and will have my sticks in hand if there is anything to bang on.
