Thanks, Steve!

Everyone is welcome! You needn't be a musician or singer to come enjoy the music. We need to get an accurate head-count, though, so please don't be shy folks, about registering.

You may list your name and your mate's/SO's together in the First and Last, in the musical instrument box, or register them separately.

Thanks!

Let's jam for a worthy cause: The Tipitina Fund in New Orleans!

I'd love to have some more guitarists register for the jam! Anyone play congas? What instruments are people considering bringing along, but haven't registered yet, because they aren't sure? Don't be shy! Post what musical instruments you want to play at the jam! Post pix even!

If I have enough to drink. I can "think" I can play any instrument. That's probably not what you're looking for.

I'm going to have a stock swaybar available - could you play that? I'll sell it to you for $2.

One of the instruments I'm bringing is a Charango. It's a 10-stringed small instrument that is like a combination ukelele/lute/armadillo!

When the Spanish conquistadors went to South America, they brought with them the vihuela (an ancestor of the guitar). Originally, the South Americans in the treeless mountain regions could not spare the wood to make the soundbox and hit upon the bright idea of using Armadillos instead.

The sound of the charango is heard throughout the Andes -- for one thing, it is easier to carry around than a guitar. (How MINI of it!) Nowadays it tends to be made of wood. The whole bulbous soundbox (or resonator) is impressively carved from a single piece. It has 5 sets of paired strings.

what if you can't play any instruments and have a voice like a smashed cat, but can whistle along with most tunes?

We can rustle up some washers and gaskets to add texture and additional sound tones!

I'm thinking comb kazoo. I can play one with either cellophane or tissue. Given enough liquid stimulation. If I'm up that late.

I plan to share my guitar... Epiphone Casino, hollow bodied electric... but I am hoping others will allow space to bring a guitar.

Are we actually going to have amps etc.? I do have a cordless amp with rechargeable batteries that I can bring, assuming that I get motivated and get it repaired soon.

Mics? (not that you'll get me near one )

I'm bringing an acoustic/electric Ovation guitar, so I'm set either way.
