Along with my chili entry I'll be bringing cornbread. This way, I get 10 chances to taste the competition. Can't have chili without cornbread!

Can I ask a question? What type of facilities are at this location? I'm trying to decide what to bring-and if we come up on Thursday is there anywhere I could heat a casserole? I don't know if my room at Tapoco has a refrig. in it..just trying to work out the details. Thanks.

The room that the Chili Cookoff is in would only have electrical outlets to my knowledge. I really don't know what Tapoco has along the line of an oven. I think the Fontana cabins have kitchens with stoves. Is it something you can do in a crock pot and leave heating on low during the day on Friday?

I have everyone counted and added to the first post up to this point. It all sounds great!!

most all the cabins have stoves and fridges, if you want, you can use mine, or for that matter, probably use anyone's there, since all the cabins are booked by MINI's Bring it on, we'll figure it out

Second dish

We will also be bringing Cheesy Mostacolli.........I guess you could call it a casserole. It might be an alternative to those that don't want/like chili.

Put me down for something in the "Bread" category. We seem to be a little light there.

Pot Luck Adder

I talked my wife into making Congo Bars (sort of a cross between chocolate chip cookies and brownies). I should be able bring enough for 50 to 60 people to snack on. Thats assuming I don't eat half of them on the way to Fontana. Hope this helps out the Pot Luck menu.

See You On The Dragon

Added some updates from the "peanut" gallery.

Lots more people signed up for the event than have signed up for the pot luck. I know that some of you posting here are bringing for more than one person or larger quantities, which is great!!

If you haven't indicated what you would like to share PM, EM or post it here. It's not far away.

I pre-tested the touring rally for the second time last Sunday. Gorgeous day with lots of bloomers all over the place. Those plants and trees blooming now will be gone by the time you get here but others that bloom later will be coming out soon.

Ingles Market in Robbinsville has a very good selection of food to heat and eat. If you’re afraid to bring something thinking it may spoil, why not commit to something then stop there to buy it.

Remember this is our MINI community pulling together to feed each other and have fun so lets all help each other by getting something on the list.

Put me down for two casseroles (seeing as there aren't many of them so far).
