kids at the dragon
i apologize if this has been discussed prior to this post, but i didnt see it. Wife and I are bringing our 10yr old son and 8 yr old daughter and were wondering if there are other kinds attending the dragon. We will be arriving friday afternoon and leaving sometime on Sunday. Son wants me to put out a call for all Yu-Gi-Oh duelers to bring their cards with them. We are hoping that other kids will be there. We are very excited about going and our kids are mini-acs in every sense of the word. if anyone is contemplating events tailored for kids, let us know and we will help plan, organize, etc.

Our son Cooper (10) will be there Thursday through Sunday. We wil be at Tapoco. He likes Yu-gi-oh but not much of a card collector. He will be bringing RC MINIs and his pocket bike for entertainment. Last year we did a little informal running of the RC cars at the Chili Cookoff and will probably do the same this year.
Oh and slot car racing and I think some PS2 gaming at Tapoco with the Atlanta MINIs dinner on Saturday night.

Oh yea we will have slot car racing and a Gran Turismo 4 on PS2 setup at the Farewell Dinner. Bring your RC cars too for some informal running in the parking lot. BTW, kids 12 and under eat free at the Farewell Dinner. When signing up for the dinner make sure to mention how many 12 and unders you have and what they want to eat (chicken or lasagna) on the comments section.

How about some of the kids stepping up and organizing some formal events,
basketball?-must be a hoop someplace
RC racing- pick a spot and name the time
easter egg hunt?-save some eggs from this weekend
snipe hunting- no flashlights allowed
campfire -award for best ghost story
cow pattie throwing contest?- Sail cats can be used too
skateboarding- there's some great hills
hide and seek- if you're not found by Sunday at noon, you must turn yourself in
Water balloons?
wildest costume?
scavenger hunt?
Suggestion, all kids sign up with age and suggestion for an event, there's a lot of free time between scheduled adult/driving events, and If you want /need some adult supervision, I'm sure we can find volunteers for that too
C'mon parents bring some indoor and outdoor games, and let's get this organized

skootz lodging
We are staying in the lodge. i think the girls are safe from my 11 yr old. His only interests right now are Yu-Gi-Oh, eating, minis, eating, bathroom jokes, eating and ......you get the idea. I think marshmellows and ghost stories beside a campfire for the kids might be a great idea. He has RC cars that he is bringing. My daughter (the red-haired antichrist) will probably spend her time talking to people about their cars. She is amazingly mini-focused for her age. Our current discussions is how we pack for the trip. Using the mini's cargo space efficiently will be a challenge. There is a chance that we may bring two cars so that I can arrive earlier. Our other fun car is a 911 which also has marginal packing room.
