F60 pre LCI to Lci
pre LCI to Lci
So , already owner of an f60 jcw pre lci , im very happy with this car and to be honest i didn't expect it as i'm not a fan of these small suv's , but because of the crappy roads where i live now , for me it was the only reason i bought it apart that i'm a big fan of MIni's .
the car is got the usual upgrades , stage 1 plus intake mst , and maybe i will finish the downpipe , not sure yet , on dyno right now is about 280hp.
performance wise its ok , but for some reason i want more , comin from Golf R and owned also Golf gti CS around 380hp .
my question is! is it worth to sell it and go for at least 2019 lci jcw model with the 306 hp or not ? for sure even if i will go to LCI i will do remap and other things .

The LCI JCW Countryman has the B48 Technology Update which adds more features to support the extra performance. The updates add reliability and efficiency to the engine that the pre-LCI engine doesn’t have. If you can afford to trade up, I say go for it.
or the lci after 2020-22 with the new headlights and digital dash and locked ecu . i'm thinking to go for the latest one , just for change to feel a really upgrade !
In my opinion, the LCI exterior update is "Meh". Its basically headlights, tail lights, and grill. Inside, you really only get the digital driver display. The '19-'20 with the 300hp motor gets all the drivetrain goodies, just not the exterior refresh. I would be happy with just the power and drive line updates.
But again, if you can afford to trade up, either way, you're getting a better vehicle.

the only think are the headlights the new ones with the square lens , don't know if it is worth that! but again the locked ecu it will be a problem...
also i don't know from which year they started the OPF at the exhaust , probably after 2020 ? my pre lci 2017 no OPF it sounds awesome even with the stock JCW exhaust .
