Having some trouble with Carplay. My wife and I share cars. Carplay works well when I am in the car. When she gets in the car her her phone and my car don't want to launch CarPlay. Even if I am nowhere near the car or my phone is completely turned off. My car seems to not like her phone. It like one for or another but not be able to launch Carplay with a new driver? Anyone else encounter this? Tricks/Hints/Tips?

One thing I did notice that stumped me was that it doesn't come on right away. Sometimes it takes up to a minute for the carplay icon to populate in the menu screen. I'd at least try giving it some time.

ND40oz, thanks for the software tip. Is this plug adn play? Is it something I can do myself, or should I have my mini dealer do it? Thank you.

 

You do it yourself, just put it on a usb and it'll run you through the prompts to install it once you connect it in the car.

 

Looks like the latest software update pertains to some Samsung phones, and some Bluetooth connectivity updates. Wireless CarPlay is over Wi-Fi, so not sure the software update would help. Shouldn't hurt, though!
