Reset service indicator help - SOLVED

SOLVED

It does work just as the 2018. I obviously wasn't doing something correctly when I tried before.

Just purchased a pre-owned 2019 Countryman. I would like to reset the oil indicator as I've taken care of that task. I've been online and on youtube and found reset procedure for a 2018 and older minis The process was: enter vehicle, close doors, press start switch without touching the brake. Press and hold the odometer reset button until the service items appear, press again to scroll, press again to reset. I've tried that and it doesn't work.

Am I doing something incorrectly or is there a different protocol for the 2019?

I just did a Oil change today and have to reset the oil service indicator .

Hope this works for you. Go to the almost end ( 20:05 ) of the video and there’s a portion about resetting the service indicator.
It really worked for me when the engine is running.

if it doesn’t work. I can send you the instruction from Mini

This not for oil change but still service indicator topic for future readers

I changed my brake pad and sensor (aftermarket). Went to reset service system said unsuccessful.

Remove sensor from reader clip behind wheel well plastic. Jumpered with wire. Reset service successfully. Re attached sensor.
