SE All4 owners... Do you warm up your engine

So, for you SE All4 owners,
Do you worry about running electric right out of the driveway Then you are cruising along at 55 and the car switches to ICE. It seems that would be hard on the engine, cold starting and being under load immediately .

Maybe the engine starts 15 seconds before I can't tell yet.

Generally speaking yes its not a bad idea to run it at low load before entering the highway. Say a mile to 2 miles max before would be good just to give it some minimum throttle running before you blast it to accelerate up the on ramp.

I would run electric right out of the driveway, then at some spot switch over to run the engine instead of using the battery on the highway and wasting that completely first before the engine kicks in by force.

I always drive smoothly and don’t accelerate hard for the first few km after the ice kicks in.
