Drove to the nearby Target and there were free charging stations. Went shopping while charging in 43 minutes which was good for 6 miles' driving. The acceleration was pretty fast and cars were far behind. Again, I can barely tell if the gas or electricity was used while driving. Fun to drive

Ordered the genuine all weather boot mat for $74.2 taxed from a local dealership. I needed it badly because I load items everyday

Boot mat sounds great!

I just got a 25% off any any mini genuine accessory for 90 days after delivery. So I have 30 days left to figure out what we want to buy.

As soon as you get a production # don't be surprised if the production is already complete. That's what happen to me! Crazy, nuts how we get such conflicting information Happy to hear your good news
I could only dream of receiving the awesome news you did the other day!

I have had a production number for a few weeks now. I called ASK Mini again today to see if they were showing my ride in production like my MA claims, but no change in status (still pending production late October). I need to get my MA on the phone to see where he's getting this information.

With regards to the all weather mats, I purchased front, rear and boot mats online last month (17' version). Hopefully they fit!

The updates can sure be confusing and frustrating. All in one day, I got the production # then the VIN and found out it was completely built the day before. Maybe my MA knew how frustrating it is and waited to give me the production # when he was sure it was on the assembly line, since they have so much experience with this process. Hoping for the best for you and you might be surprised and have your production moved forward.

I think the front mats and boot mat would fit. I'm not sure about the rear mats for the SE. Not sure the battery affected the floor dimensions there. I'm waiting until my car comes in and then get them at that time. Dealer has them in stock.
Really only need the front mats and boot right away.

Good luck to you and sending positive thoughts that your production will start sooner than predicted.

Still waiting for the front and boot mats

Was wondering if the 4k tax credit is still good for buying the Mini Cooper E in VA? Considering the Countyman Hybrid, but the cost is slightly about my comfort level. A 4k refund would obviously help. Also wondering what a fully loaded car is coming out to? I'm guessing about 44k + tax/tags? Are any dealers offering any discounts over MSRP on these?

4K is a fed tax credit and you may be eligible. Check with your CPA first

I think there is a discount but not much room like non-SE models. If you want a custom one, you may need to find a dealership with an open build slot. There are several stock SEs from 3 dealerships in DC but they were built this July without Apple CarPlay and enhanced features. There is a nearby dealership in Sterling and they have a stock SE with fully load sitting there for a while.

I live in DC area and there are many charging stations around my house. If you want to take advantage of plug-in hybrid, make sure it is easy to charge SE via 110/220V plugs or public charging stations. If not, you will probably drive with a 1.5L engine in a hybrid only mode mostly. The SE is heavier than non-SE and the acceleration is not as good as one with a 2.0L engine. Someone even suggests buy non-SE CMs with a 2.0L engine

Thanks for the info. What are the enhanced features that it is missing? Don't care to much for Apply Play, but do for Android Auto.

Also not a fan of Mini of Sterling. I used to have a Mini Cooper Convertible (one of the first in the US). Mini of Sterling did a horrible job servicing it and they were just plain rude cause I didn't buy it there.

Enhanced cockpit instrument design
More precise fuel level display, and new control system for MINI DrivingModes and MINI Head-Up Display
Introduction of Apple CarPlay

Mini of Montgomerycounty may have a fully load SE but it is a June build

I've had a production number for mine for over a month. ASK MINI is saying production starts in early October... Owners Lounge says I can't register yet.

It's a confusing system for sure Just guessing here....might not be able to register until it actually enters the assembly line. I think that's why my MA did not give me the production# right away. Being a new model, production this year may be causing the all the shifting around in scheduling. I know how frustrated you must be. The wait is sure tough! Hang in there as best you can.

As an update to my SE's status....my MA was mistaken when he told me my SE was in production. Late October is the current estimate for production.

.....late October is a bummer, but there has been so many scheduling shifts back and forward, there's still a possibility that production will move forward again. Hoping that will happen for you Keep us posted.

You still have chances to modify your order if needed. I wish I could upgrade my steering wheel

You don't like the steering wheel? I thought it was nice on the test model.

bummer. Mini can't shoot straight on getting these things made. For a car manufacturer that specializes in custom orders they couldn't do a worse job if they tried.

I got the MINI Yours steering wheel, but in truth, what I wish I could have is the BMW M-sport steering wheel. The MY wheel is barely any nicer, and has that stupid Union Jack emblem on it. This ain't a British car! They need to stop pretending.

Drove about 14.5 miles in the electricity mode and city route with 64% battery power used

If you know the tricks, you may get almost 20 miles with a fully changed battery

I may look for a 110/220 EV charger with a longer cable like 25' for daily use. The enclosed one from Mini is not long enough for outdoor use if plugged from the outlet inside the garage and I prefer not use an extended power cord

For anyone keeping tabs, my ride's anticipated production date moved up one week to the second week in October. Trending in the right direction!
