First charge is complete. We plugged it in (standard 110v charger that comes with the car) around 9:30 PM last evening with around 35% charge remaining. It completed just prior to 9:00 AM this morning. Seems to be a long time to charge a relatively small battery (for example BMW i3 can charge fully on 12 hours). Next step is to determine if pre-conditioning or any other features are in use to slow the charging down.

Only pet peeve so far is that it looks like the Mini Connected app is pretty archaic. It shows total gas range in the app but does not show any details about the charge (or charge %). I also don't see ability to unlock doors from the app, or turn on preconditioning from the app (all of those features are available on the i3 app).

I hope it will be at the dealership by next Friday. Nothing will be done during the weekend

Photos are great! Wow....that's a long charge time for 35% remaining. It must be pre-conditioning for first time. This is the 1st Island Blue SE photos I've seen photos of. Specs look great

The Island blue is cool and I like the sport bumper.

Ethel charges in about 6-8hrs. You can set the draw rate against 110v in the configuration screen. It comes default at the lowest draw. You can bump up if you have newer wiring. Mine is wired with 12GA wire and has a 20amp breaker so the higher setting is fine.

I just called 866-Ask-Mini to check on my production number since the website isn't giving any info. My production moved from week 36 to 43 (Late October)!!!! Bummer! I'm wondering if it was because I added the ADA Feature. Mini didn't have any info on that though.

Anyone else get similar bad news?

Well, ASK MINI told me today that I have a "confirmed production start date... week 41." Dealer system still shows 08/2017, but it's sounding like all the SE's have moved out to October. If start date is 10/9 (week 41), that should put completion a couple of weeks later, then off to Zeebrugge. Figuring a month on the ship and then to the dealer (Colorado) I think I'm looking at early-mid December delivery.

Yup... likely it's going to be a long wait. Trying to look on the positive side. It'll be a nice Christmas gift. Will have to dig deep to find patience for us all waiting on our SE's. I'm in the East Coast so my sea journey should be shorter if all goes well without further push backs on production starts and other delays that may crop up.

Received production# and VIN today. MA said that it started production and in assembly!

Update: Production was completed yesterday, 8/25 and status is "currently awaiting carrier". If she loads in Zeebrugge by 8/27 will dock in NY on 9/6. Next ship out will be 9/2 and will dock on 9/13.

Mini Lounge shows "in production".....just a "tad" bit behind, huh?! I'm totally surprised and thoroughly excited that I'll take ownership in September:-)

For sure As of this morning, still awaiting release to carrier so probably won't make the Tiger today. Next ship out is 9/2 with delivery to port in NY 9/13.
My wait won't be as long as I anticipated.

More fun tracking on the ship and getting spec printout from Bimmer.work. Owner's Lounge seems worthless. Hope they get that under control in the future.

Production time!

My MA just texted me to inform me that my ride is in production! This is despite the fact that I called Ask Mini earlier today to check status and it was still anticipating a production start date of late October (week 43).

EPIC!

WooHoo! Did you get a production # so you could log into the Owner's Lounge?
As soon as you get a production # don't be surprised if the production is already complete. That's what happen to me! Crazy, nuts how we get such conflicting information Happy to hear your good news
