235 on R57 or R56
Hi there!
My car is R57 and I will set wheel, tire and just low down spring.
finally I am going to order CCW classic 4 and 235/40/17 tire,,but before ordering I want to make sure..
At first I ask CCW 17inch 8J ET+45(with the help of Mach V dan), but CCW can make ET+44 maximum and they send me photos of test fit kindly enough.
But by the photos they send, the car used for test fit is R56 with KW coilover without 235/40/17 tire...
I will set just low down spring with stock shocks
So before ordering, I want to know exactly rubbing issue..please help me
I don't know well the CCW company and how strong and light -initially I had plan to get volk RE30(17inch 7.5J ET+48)-which is better?
Also which low down spring is best?I mean durability not considering riding feel-I am going to get H&R down spring,,I don't know others

Hey Dr. klein,
+44 is only 1mm different! That should be fine. CCW are nice wheels, very light. Between those and the Volks? I'd just pick the one you think looks better.
Our R56 with stock shocks, Mach V Technic springs, and 235/40R17:
No rubbing. It's very close, but doesn't rub.

Are those Rota "B's"?
They look FANTASTIC on a mini.... I've never seen them on one before... VERY NICE.

Just not a set of Konig ECO1's for my JCW. 14Lbs each. I got a set of Nitto NT01's mounted to them for track days and summer roads. Wow are they light. I went with 215/45-17's. I would have went 40 profile but they were not available. i am going to weight the stock rims and tires today and I will post the weights of both set ups mounted.

I really like the look of 17 7.5 with 235/40. Absolutely fantastic, I have a cooper SD roadster and Im going to change tires and rims when spring comes.
Right now I have stock suspension but will lower with the eibach pro kit or something similar.
Do you know if the same configuration will fit my car without other modifications?
Is the 235 wide tires flush with the fenders or popping out a lot?
Thanks a bunch.
