R60 N18 2DA0 and 2C58 Codes
N18 2DA0 and 2C58 Codes
Hi All.
Looking for help with the my 2011 R60 All4 with reproducible 2DA0 and 2C58 codes.
Search reveals others have fixed with new vanos solenoid but have tried swapping and replacing the intake and exhaust vanos solenoids, but no difference.
Car currently has 138K miles. New dealer installed timing chain at 77K due to guide failure to include vanos sprockets, not sure if it has the newer 82mm tensioner.
I can reproduce the 2DA0 (intake camshaft angular offset to crankshaft outside tolerance) and 2C58 (boost pressure control shutdown: pressure build-up blocked) codes every morning within a few minutes of driving, after clearing with Bimmerlink codes will not reappear for the rest of the day but will resurface the next day.
Any data values I can look at in Bimmerlink to pinpoint the problem?
Am contemplating a new chain tensioner or just installing a new timing chain, guides and tensioner.
Open to thoughts/suggestions.

Just a follow up, its most likely either the timing chain or the intake VANOS sprocket has slipped. The frequency of the 2DA0 code started increasing so finally took it in and the cams were not aligned right when they tried to put the tool on them for check. I was at 90k miles so it was time for the timing chain which has made the engine sing again with no codes.
