P054B/P0015 Code

Hi All,

I am having some issues with our 2012 R60. 78k miles and It just had its timing chain and tensioner and cam sensor replaced. Now it is showing the codes of P0015 and P045B. Im leaning toward a new VANOS solenoid but all the articles I have read do not list these codes as probable causes. Before I blow $200 on a new solenoid, any other Ideas?

I will point out that when we replaced the timing, the timing was just a hair off, so thats why I think the Solenoid thats causing it to keep it from going back to normal.

Thanks.

Hey, old thread I know, but if you found a fix please post it if you see this. Having the same issues, on my ‘12 R60, P0015, usually after long downhill coasting or right after highway driving. P054B occasionally on cold starts and driving without much warm up time.

Again old thread, but thanks to anyone who sees this!
