R60 2012 R60 blowing 25 amp fuse
2012 R60 blowing 25 amp fuse
Hey guys new to the forum and in need of some advice. I have a 2012 countryman s all4 with 60,000 miles and the check engine light recently came on. I had it scanned and got back P0598 Thermostat heater control circuit low Confirmed, P0031 heated oxygen sensor heater control circuit low Bank 1 sensor 1 confirmed, and P0037 heated oxygen sensor heater control circuit low bank 1 sensor 2. Didn’t see much of a difference driving just rough starts until the car gets warm and rough idle. I brought the car to my local mechanic who has a background on these vehicles and he said it’s leaking oil and needs to have the oil filter housing replaced, new 02 sensors, and new aux water pump for $1,300.00. The only thing I found strange is every time I start the car it blows the 25 amp fuse in the engine bay labeled ECM, ignition BBB coil, fuel injectors, crank position sensor. Any advice would be helpful thank you!
Hi
I am working on the same problem (P0598, P0031, P0037 and P0003). I assume your R60(Countryman) and my R55(Clubman) has the same N18 engine.
so far, I figured out and fixed the F2 fuse(25amp) blowing by replacing an oil pressure control solenoid. Since all those sensors use the same wiring(X6820), You can try to unplug the solenoid connector to see if the fuse still blown.
In my case, other sensors are still "Low" voltage, even though I replaced O2 sensors (P0031, P0037) and thermostat(P0037).
The most suspicious is wiring(X6820), or the worst-case scenario is DME itself.
Genius guys, please help us.
