Yellow Half-Engine check light, codes...

Hey there everyone, just joined due to some issues I ran into with our Clubman S, which is the wifes DD. Hope to get these things resolved soon so I can go back to daily driving my Jeep and she can get her Mini back.

The car is a 2012 Clubman S with 26,000 miles on it. We just picked it up about 4 months ago.

Recently a "Service" light came on.

Then the yellow half-engine check light came on and it went into half power mode...no turbo in these cars really sucks!

I stopped at O'rileys and used their Bosch OBD2 scanner and pulled these codes,

1/12 - P0598 - Thermostat heater control circuit low - Confirmed
2/12 - P0031 - Heated oxygen sensor heater control circuit low bank 1 sensor 1 - Confirmed
3/12 - P0037 - Heated oxygen sensor heater control circuit low bank 1 sensor 2 - Confirmed
4/12 - P0003 - Fuel Volume Regulator Control Circuit Low - Confirmed

5/12 - P0598 - Thermostat heater control circuit low - Pending
6/12 - P0031 - Heated oxygen sensor heater control circuit low bank 1 sensor 1 - Pending
7/12 - P0037 - Heated oxygen sensor heater control circuit low bank 1 sensor 2 - Pending
8/12 - P0003 - Fuel Volume Regulator Control Circuit Low - Pending

9/12 - P0598 - Thermostat heater control circuit low - Permanent
10/12 - P0031 - Heated oxygen sensor heater control circuit low bank 1 sensor 1 - Permanent
11/12 - P0037 - Heated oxygen sensor heater control circuit low bank 1 sensor 2 - Permanent
12/12 - P0003 - Fuel Volume Regulator Control Circuit Low - Permanent

So, Im not very familiar with reading these, besides cross referencing charts. Not sure why the code reader shows the same 4 codes, 3 different times, with the only difference being "confirmed" "pending" and "permanent" noted below each code?

Secondly, anyone know whats up based on this?

I have an appointment to drop it off at the local shop tomorrow morning, but, Im curious. Lucky, I have an extended warranty. Unfortunately I have to front the diagnostics fee of $110 and wont get that back until after the warranty company deems the repairs covered.

Some research I did,

P0598 - Thermostat issue. Most common fix was thermostat replacement.

P0031 + P0037 - Bad O2 sensor? or wiring? Not sure on this...

P0003 - HPFP? Perhaps battery issue?

I also noticed some weird issues with the car alarm randomly going off. perhaps the battery needs replaced and may be causing other issues?

Update, found a blown 25amp fuse. Going to replace, once I find a 25amp fuse...of course I have 20 and 30's but no 25's

edit: replaced the 25amp fuse. Started her up, backed up, blew fuse.

Guess we'll see what the shop says tomorrow.

First shop: Said the fuse was blowing because of a failed diode in the CPU, and had to go to MINI in order to replace it. So out $100 because the warranty service wont cover this as it needs to go to MINI to replace.

Took it to MINI of Seattle yesterday. I forgot to note the fuse issue when I dropped it off and just told them about the check engine issues and the codes. So they call me today saying they are replacing the HPFP and Thermostat. I asked about the fuse and they didnt say anything, so they have to go back and re-diagnose the issue...seems odd.

They ALSO found worn sway bar bushings and wanted $618 to replace those....warranty would only cover $450 some...no thanks. Ill do it myself.

And then they ALSO found "rat infestation damage" to the oil pump solenoid...which seems odd. I asked for more info here. After some quick research it sounds like this is a common leaky issue. The problem I have here is they are calling it infestation damage...and the warranty company wont cover it due to the "cause". That sounds like a line of BS to me!

When the oil leak from the control solenoid becomes bad enough the conduit around the wiring starts to deteriorate and fall off, not to mention; rats aren't big fans of petrol based products...

Depending on year and miles you may be able to have it covered under MINI warranty.

I would dispute the case, sounds like they're trying to get around the work.
