So I am thinking about returning to the Mini family after 8 years. Been away awhile but I drove a 2015 Mini Countryman S FWD and loved it. It has a great service history with 58k miles. It is a automatic, yes I am a third pedal guy but this will be my daily commuter in traffic.
Any advice you can offer would be most appreciated.
We have a 2015 Countryman S ALL4 and love it...not the same as our R56 but very lovable in its own way...can't vouch for the auto tranny version but the manual is just fine....hope you find it to your liking!
Lots of issues with the clutch with these cars. It was supposed to be resolved by 14',15' but mine is a 2015 and had to have mine replaced under 30K miles. Otherwise, I love the car.
I returned to a Countryman last August 2018 and bought the 2015 All4 Automatic. My previous 2012 Countryman was a manual transmission. I have found the 2015 to be a great car and bought it site unseen online. I did check the CarMax and did find out it was a one owner, local so the dealer I was buying it from had all the maintenance records. For me it's very handy with a bloodhound that needs to get to the vet sometimes and at the same time the sport mode gives me that sports car boost or feel. I bought mine with 68k miles.
Thanks for the feedback everyone! Well, the one I was looking at was sold by the time we arrived at the dealership. Found another one at a local dealer and presto! We are back in the Mini Family! 2016 Countryman S All4 is all mine.... well if my wife lets me.
Good looking All4....that's a better MINI anyway! You'll love the CMS All4. We found a 2015 CMS All4 in Light Coffee (Love the color!) and it had only 15k miles on it. We love the car and the auto trans is very good! Sport mode and paddles are fun but I admit to rarely using them...it's just an all round solid car! I removed the run-flats though as I preferred the 18" Turbo Fan Spoke Silver wheels....the 225/45/18 Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ are awesome tires if you decide to go with non-run-flats. Enjoy!
You got a sweet R60. I highly recommend switching out the runflats. Although many say the RF are bad on the hard tops, it’s absolutely terrible on the R60.
Also, if you havent yet....if you take a wheel off that car you'll be mighty surprised. They are heavy as ******. Turning those beasts takes a lot of power. Upgrading to lighter wheels and non-runflats will feel like 30HP.
