Anyone have any experience with the Thule 7601 Edge Racking system on a their Countryman? I need to purchase a cross bar system for bike racks. I love the look and low pro of the Thule 7601 Edge system but the Thule website says it may interfere with my Sunroof. No Bueno! Thanks for any help.

I have the Thule 7601 edge racks on my 2016 Countryman with a Thule cargo basket. No interference with my sunroof. I have the 7601 in black and looks great. Lower profile that the stock mini roof racks.

Any way you could post or send me a couple more detailed photos of the racks and the roof of your Countryman? Id be so appreciative. 45rake, did you happen to get your mini at Schomp? I see you are from Littleton as well! Neighbors! I just got my 2016 at Schomp about a month ago. I saw the lifted Countrman on their floor and man was it sweet! I think they only built 1 or two of them!

 

Hey mattyb13, yes, I purchased from Schomp but I did the lift and all mods myself. I did get the idea when I saw their lifted mini on their showroom floor back in November. I will post some more pics of the rack system.

Did you do the install on the 7601's?

 

Yes I did. Pretty straight forward. You will also need a Thule fit kit to mount the 7601 racks to the Mini Countryman.

Yes, you need the 4020 fit kit. It has all items needed for both racks.
