All4/S with 235/50 R18 - No Lift

Hi Guys,

I know there are a few threads out there that try to say what does or doesn't fit the R60. Wanted to create a thread to show some pics of probably the biggest tire setup you can fit, reasonably, without a lift.

Hope this helps.

Wheels: LM Reps - 18x8 et 35
Tires: Michilen Xice - 235/50 R18

Issues: Slight rubbing on driver rear on high speed whoops. I have NOT tried trimming, but the rub is where the fender flare curls under into the wheel well - I believe trimming will be simple, just remove a few mm of that plastic.
In another thread about snow tires, a member said he ran this size tire with an ET41 wheel and had no rub.

Looks nice , might have to shave those rear arches on the inside as with that offset you will have some poke with the width.

Style 716 and style 030 are popular also ,

the 235/50R18 tires are 27.3 inch OD

i run 205/70R16 Dunlop grandtrek sj6 AT winters on mini oem alloys, 16x6.5 et 46

they also are 27.3 inch OD

also tried 215/70R16 and 205/75R16 but they both rubbed on compression and the fronts rubbed at full steering lock

i have no rubbing at all with this setup and i have the sport suspension, 1 cm lower than the stock suspension ... loaded the car with 6 200+ pound guys, 2 sitting on the boot lip, suspension sitting down on the bump stops

i wanted the tallest possible sidewall for wheel protection from chicago potholes, do far so good ... on the 4th winter with no dinged wheels

a side bonus of the 16 inch tires is price ... $83 each

Yep, right here, I have not seen another CM with these on in person, very rare.

Did they ever find that Fiat that went into that pothole up there last winter? Just kidding. It looks like a brilliant solution that also saves a pretty fair amount of coin! It always torques me how much more the larger diameter tires cost.
