Need Advice - Is this a good price?
Hello All - I am new to the forums and looking for some advice on a Mini Countryman for my wife.
Here are the specs:
2014 Mini Countryman S All4
The car was used as a loaner car for a few months and has only 2,680 miles.
-Cold Weather Package (heated seats, power mirrors)
- Mini Connected w/ Navigation Package (armrest, traffic alerts)
- Premium Package (pano sunroof, auto headlights, climate control)
- Technology Package (harmon kardon, XM radio)
- Mini wired package ( voice command, visual boost, bluetooth, usb)
- Steptronic auto transmission
- Flat load floor
- etc etc
The new price they had the car for was $33,945. He also said they usually charge a $500 assembly fee on new cars as they come to the states still needing some assembly? Not sure if this was true or not?
Anyways, the price of the car is $30,000. They would only lower the price to $29,500 out the door. Is this a good price? Its a 2014 with a lot of add-ons…basically brand new.
Thanks!

.9% for 48 months and 1.9% for 60 months.
Was the salesman lying about the $500 assembly fee that their dealership charges on new minis? He said when they are shipped there are still parts that need to be assembled at the dealership.

That's a pretty good price. I got almost $5k off a '13 last year with about 3k miles. Just curious what color it is. Not sure about that assembly fee but they did try to tack on $600 for a Lojack system that I don't really need.
The 500$ fee is also called dealer handling. Bunch of crap whatever they call it. I just bought out my 3yr lease a year early, and they tried to add that crap back into the deal! There is a very good reason they are referred to as "Stealerships"!!
any who. . .I think that is a great price for that car with those options!

When I purchased my wifes Mini last year it was a pre-owned 2013 with 3,000 miles on it.
I negotiate 15% off the original list price of the car when new plus CPO coverage, in effect extending the warranty two years and to 100K miles.
Your dearlership is basicly offering you 14% off the list price.
I would look around to see if there are any low mileage CPO cars out there to use as leverage to get a little more off what is basicly a used non titled car which is being sold as new.
Maybe they could still give it a CPO certification though.

That's including all taxes? Man, cars are so cheap over there. You don't want to know what I paid for my non-S ALL4!
We got the price down to $29,000! Unfortunately, that did not include sales tax haha
