R60 Can the rear BENCH seat slide forward/backwards?
Can the rear BENCH seat slide forward/backwards?
I have a 2013 CMS with rear BENCH seat. As most of you know, the bench seat is split 40/20/40. The outer sections each have a lever underneath to be ostensibly used to slide the section forward/backwards, just like the front buckets.
I lifted up each lever and tried sliding each seat with all my might, but they would not budge. Is something wrong with my seats? Can anyone confirm that the BENCH seat sections actually slide forward/backwards?

+1. I have buckets, but mine required sitting in them or pushing them down as I moved them for quite some time before they seemed to break in.

THANKS FOR THE TIP! I was not sitting in the seat when trying to slide it initially.
I got the driver side section to slide after sitting in it and using a moderate amount of pressure. However, the passenger side was SUPER STUCK. It FINALLY moved after I kept bouncing on it.
Kinda dumb that you have to climb into the vehicle and sit in the seat in order to move it, since its sole purpose is to create extra space when loading things in the boot.

I noticed on both our '12 and '13 that the (bench) seats were initially very tight and you had to sit in them to move them, but after doing so a few times for some reason they become MUCH easier to move and you no longer need to sit in them to move them.
Mine slide forwards and back easily without ever having to have sat in the back seat. But then again, mine was on the showroom floor in the Mini dealership, so it's possible that someone "unstuck" them for me.
