Aftermarket heated seats?

Has anyone installed aftermarket seat warmers? I regret not adding the option now that temps are dropping. Any recommendations? Thanks!

I'm actually thinking of doing this as well. Just took delivery of my Countryman in October and didn't order heated seats. The leatherette is soooo cold in the AM. I called the dealer and they send these out to another vendor and have a heated element added. The control is then on the side of the seat. $250 per seat. Not bad actually.

In AZ. Hmmm, maybe the passenger will just have to freeze. I'm going to call the dealer too and post up what they say.

Any auto upholstery shop should be able to do it. Somewhere in the $500-$700 range and you can do all the seats if you wanted.

You can always get the 12v heaters from Bavauto. Not the greatest solution but it's cheap.

I did it in my Mazda Tribute and it wasn't that hard. Took about 2 hrs to replace the heater element in the drivers seat.

These guys did mine and I'm mostly happy with the results. Don't like the placement of the switch (side of the seat).

I installed aftermarket (eBay) seat heater kits in my '08 MCS with Lounge Leather seats a couple of years ago. They were very cheap at under $100 total. Was a bit of a pain to install....involves pulling the seats out of the car and lots of pulling/tugging on seat covers to get everything together, but very doable if you are a DIY kinda person.

There's a good How To write up that I used to do mine here on the forum. Here it is...
