I'm hoping you guys might be able to help me.

I have a month old Countryman Cooper D and yesterday my 2 year old daughter put a £1 coin in the heater vent on the left hand side of the speedo!

Any idea on how to get it out?

So far I have tried removing the cabin filter cover and rooting around in there with no luck. I have also removed the trim around the vent and the speedo but can't get the piece that that holds the windscreen demister in place. My thought was if I could I could get the vent off and try and get some sort of telescopic grabber down there.

Any help would be appreciated!! Are there any panels that can be removed to get to where the coin may have dropped?

FYI UK pound coins aren't magnetic.

Depends how far the coin got. It's possible that it got down into the housing and that will be pretty tough to get out. Is it making noise or something?
